It seems like a lot of episodes of the show are up on Youtube, with the credits intact— you could try and find the episode(s) you think the song was in and check the credits. I glanced at one, and while it wasn't the song you're looking for, they did credit songs and artists used during the episode, so you might have some luck.
Figured it out. Watched the Episode through my service provider on their site. Bryhona Marie Parham made the rendition I was looking for. Unfortunately there isn't a full version available that I can find. Thanks for the help anyway.
The song is called Whispering Hope and there are a lot of renditions online, but I can't seem to find the one that I want. It was used during the ending of a show entitled "A Crime to Remember" There wasn't a lot of background music. It would have almost been Acapella if it weren't for a steady beat in the background. I'm fairly certain the singer was African-American., but I don't know her name or if she was even credited in the credits. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
