Commenting to bump. If it's a grey area, fair enough!

1. Subpages are treated just like the main page. No discussion needed to add if it doesn't have a note, a thread is needed to remove, replace, or add after the first time.

2. Every Characer pic is treated separately if there are several. A thread can tackle multiple at once.

Just adding that if the image is a strict quality upgrade (the same image but less blurry or something like that), you don't have to go through IP.

Otherwise, yes, if it already has an image, it need to go through the forums.

Thanks!

Possibly it's stating the obvious, but any thoughts on the last point - i.e. images for characters who appear across multiple works (e.g. throughout the Marvel Universe) should be representative of their appearance in the specific work/context set by the character sheet?

(Even if their Characters entry is just signposting back to details and tropes on a different page, as normally happens to avoid duplication when the same character turns up repeatedly across works in a shared universe. Assuming that an image is included for that scenario, of course).

  • So, if a series features the grey Hulk (e.g. New Fantastic Four), a Characters page for that should ideally show him grey, not green.
  • And if a page like Ant-Man: Heroes includes an entry for Clint Barton because he was the size-changing superhero Goliath for a while, it should ideally picture him as Goliath, not in his earlier/later costumed identity as Hawkeye?

Fair?

I’m not sure why you had to repost the entire question, but yes, in general the character should have a picture if possible indications of what work they’re in.
