When i link to a subsidiary work that is very unlikely to get a page, (such as single- issue comics or obscure fanfic) i leave in the red link but also include a blue link to the closest related page- which in this case seems to be supergirl. If i wanted to make it more clear i might phrase it as
- in Action Comics issue 405, Starfires Revenge, blah blah a Supergirl villain who wears furs etc
For fanfic i always use
- In Parent Work fanfiction Fic Title, blah blah, trope happens
Troper Ariachus recently added a link on Fur and Loathing to Comicbook.Starfires Revenge. here.
Unfortunately, we don't have a page for this title. I'm aware that redlinks are fine —and even encouraged— but this isn't a title for a comic book run or series, it's the story title for Adventure Comics Number 405. We don't have a listing for the name as a whole, either. (Apparently Supergirl stared in #'s 381-424, but I'm not a comic nerd, so just going off the pages.)
I find it unlikely that there would ever be a work page for that specific issue, so where should that title link?
