resolved Movie about stroke victim Film
I remember as a kid seeing a movie about a stroke victim. There's an early scene where a young guy in his 20s is at a gym and suddenly can't pick up a dumbbell. He stumbles around a bit before collapsing. Someone calls 911 and as the guy is wheeled away on a gurney he starts vomiting. Later in the movie after he's recovered, he's in a college class but his brain is still a bit screwy so he can't focus, so he packs up his stuff and leaves.
resolved Weird Netflix show with 3D animated bears Western Animation
Around 2009-2010 there was a show on Netflix revolving around a family of bears.
The main character, an older sister, was hyped about the trip to the amusement park with her family.
Suddenly, her younger sister becomes completely sick and the trip is forced to be cancelled.
She wishes how she didn't have a sister to worry about anymore. Some sort of being comes to her and tells her how much she'd miss having a sister.
They go over some sorta flashback of all the times she's loved her sister.
Eventually, she gets over not being able to go on the trip and it ends with a happy ending.
resolved Beat bad guys up, use the pile of bodies to get out of the hole Videogame
Does anyone know the name of an independent PC videogame, probably from around 2005-2015, with this mechanic?
The game's a Low-polygon 3D Beat 'em Up with no plot or real setting. Characters are composed of basic shapes like cubes and octahedrons. From what I remember, the only difference between the player character and the enemies was the character color. The player starts out in a hole a few cubes deep, and enemies keep jumping in. Once you beat an enemy, his body falls apart and becomes part of the terrain. Beat enough enemies and you'll have enough bodies to climb out of the hole. After beating a level, you move on to a wider, deeper hole. I never got to the end, and for all I know, new levels can keep generating randomly forever.
Edited by Mac_Rresolved You play as a robot wearing a red cloak, with a golem as an ally Videogame
See title, but I remember the intro pretty well: the golem opens a vault containing your character, revealing that the world is covered in purple goo of some kind. After some basic tutorials, the goo attacks the PC, and the golem has to cut off their arm, replacing the robot's missing arm with one of their own. Additionally, your character has a sword, and it had some platforming elements, as well as an upgrade system.
resolved looking for old shows that aired in my country once in the 2000s Anime
the shows that I rememeber briefly that ran between I think 2000 and 2009
1-one that is basically zorro but futuristic 2d style with the zorro character being a rebel leader. 2-one is either an anime that was dubbed or a western anime style show about a squad I remember the first episode where one of the main character had her entire squad slaughtered and one of them was killed with a pistol by the enemy while his plane was upside down.
resolved Neil Young quote
All I remember about this piece of media is a conversation going something like this.
Person A: Neil Young is a national treasure.
Person B: He's Canadian.
Edited by CosmicGhostresolved RPGMaker(?) Game set in a monster-filled office Videogame
I played it years ago and I can't remember the name, but I do recall a lot of details. I think all the characters were anthropomorphic animals, and you were a new office worker. The atmosphere was very bleak; it seemed like a satire for oppressive work culture. Early on in the game, you get a revolver in order to fight invisible monsters in your company. You had to listen for sounds, and then hit a key; the game would shift to a first-person perspective, and you had to listen closely for where the sound would be centered to hit the monster.
resolved Fever dream soviet-russian(?) movie Film
I remember watching it a couple times; it's, as far as I know, only in Russian, so I don't know if anyone here has even heard of it but it's worth a shot. It had some guitarist guy get transported (I don't remember how) onto some barren desert planet. He finds (two?) other guys who have some kind of flying machine that is essentially a porta-potty-sized giant tin can with helicopter blades on top. All sorts of weird stuff happens along the way, including our main guy getting abandoned and taken back by the other two, some underground industrial complex being found, and other weird fever-dream-esque shenanagins.
The main guy later comes back home (just normal real life) and I think at the end finds one of the guys from said deserted planet? I'm not sure on that detail as I could be remembering it from another movie. One of the (many) main details that makes the movie unique that I remember is that on the planet it was customary to do some weird 'crouch, slap your knees(?), and make a sound' move as a greeting or something? Again, the whole movie feels like a fever dream. Also, the movies was made around when the Soviet Union collapsed, either a bit before or after, can't remember.
I'll honestly be surprised if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, but hey, ya never know.
resolved Show about a dog organization Western Animation
There was this show I remember as a kid (late 90s early 00s), where there was this underground base where dogs did stuff. I remember one had to do with water being wasted.
The main dog could also communicate with the big boss via the toilet.
Found it The Secret Files of The Spy Dogs
Edited by LadyJuseresolved dragon person and his nerdy friend
It was a series of graphic novels for elementary schoolers about this dragon kid and he had a nervous, nerdy friend. Every book they would go on a different adventure. In one book they would go to this japanese-inspired forest to i believe meet their relatives, in another they would explore their dreams. They were written and/or drawn by someone named Ursula
resolved Japanese(?) horror story about a mountainside with tunnels
Sometime last year I came across a story about at least Asian origin story, as per the title, that involved a mountainside full of tunnels mysteriously appearing overnight by a village. A strange force calls to people to crawl through their assigned tunnels. They get smaller and smaller, eventually requiring you to deform and break your body to get through—there is no going back. The main story involves the protagonist trying to stop their friend from going through with it. They appear to do so, arriving just in time. The two talk and go to sleep inside a tent. However, when the main character wakes up, the friend is gone, having given in to the temptation. It's a fairly well-known one, possibly of the macabre genre, but I swear I can not find it nor remember the title. Any ideas? I also swear it has a page on this site. I am probably wrong on that count.
Edited by RewanDemontayresolved Gumball-esc Puppet Show (Found!) Live Action TV
There was this one show I'm trying to remember that was once on Netflix back when it was still on the Wii. It was about this puppet kid trio (a black male who was the main character, a white female who either had a rabbit hood like Louise from Bob's Burgers or was voiced by the same person as Louise, & a white male that I know for sure had no visible mouth or pupils due to his clothing & glasses) who discover weird & paranormal things in their school every episode such as a gun that would swap over attributes of two items (Such as making orange bananas & yellow oranges), a golem made out of tables & chairs from the teachers lounge, or what I remember the most was a time machine in a hidden part of the school, one where you have to move a crank in order to push time by a small margarine.
Edited by BagelDemonresolved Garfield strip where he changes the shape of his teeth Print Comic
In this strip, Jon is telling Garfield that he sometimes can't tell if he's happy or angry. Garfield smiles normally and says that now he's happy, then smiles the same way but now his teeth are sharp and says that now he's angry.
resolved Netflix movie with horses? Film
There was this movie on Netflix (don't know if it's there anymore) about a girl who moved to the country and getting adjusted to it. There was a horse farm nearby and she bonded with one in particular. There was also a guy she became friends with, and there was a bit of Will They or Won't They? but they ended up not getting together.
resolved Dungeon crawler with fighting game random encounters? Videogame
I'm not sure if any of this will make sense but earlier today I was talking about Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring with some friends and how that game had a dungeon crawler mode. That conversation reminded me of a game I remember seeing / reading about that had 3D dungeon crawling but whenever you got into an enemy encounter the gameplay would switch to a 2D fighting game playstyle.
I'm not sure if the dungeon crawler thing was part of the "main" game or if it was simply a side mode in a game that's otherwise entirely fighting. I also think the game was for the PS1 or PS2 / had low-poly graphics? I don't remember anything else about it so I might've just thought it up, but any help would be appreciated!
Edited by Rex-Blanchimont-ZEROresolved Commercial I remember (SOLVED! Thank you!)
There’s this commercial that’s been playing in my head for the past 9 years (which is when I first saw it, 2015ish). I think there were four mythical creatures being interviewed. The first was a fairy or something, all I remember is her saying “my bad! hahaha”, then there was a leprechaun, who complained about people trying to get his gold, but no one bothered to ask what he wanted. Then there was a Loch Ness monster, who said something about people calling him Nessie I think? Then finally, the Kikiwaka monster (from Bunk’d I think) said something about culinary school and then shouted his name? It might’ve just been a commercial for Bunk’d. Regardless, does anyone know where it is or have a clip of it? I’d greatly appreciate it if anyone knew. Thanks :>
Edited by lunaloud45resolved A black and white vampire/werewolf movie Film
I saw most of this movie on television a long time ago. The plot goes something like this. A vampire who had been imprisoned for years escapes and confronts a reformed werewolf who used to be his loyal servant. The werewolf is terrified at first and refuses to work for the vampire anymore, but the vampire uses his hypnotic powers to revert the werewolf back to his previous personality. The vampire takes on the identity of a famous professor and starts killing and blood draining people while also hunting a young woman he wants to turn into his bride. He is opposed by an older woman who previously defeated him and helped the werewolf reform. The vampire's crimes are also investigated by a police detective who refuses to believe in vampires even as the evidence piles up. He still doesn't believe in anything supernatural even after his two lackies witness the werewolf turn into a wolfman up close while unsuccessfully trying to arrest him. The older woman is unsuccessful in preventing the vampire from kidnapping the young woman. When the vampire is about to turn the young woman into a vampire, the werewolf looks at as his cross necklace and remembers the older woman's words which remind of why he turned good. He turns back into a human and kills the vampire by using a rock to pound a large nail into his chest, but then also dies afterwards for some reason while vampire's body rapidly turns into a rotten corpse. The older woman and the investigator find the bodies of the vampire and werewolf. The investigator is still skeptical and in the final line of the film he breaks the fourth wall by asking the audience if they believe in vampires. I think the movie was partially a parody because it lampshaded a lot of vampire tropes.
resolved Puppet Bunker Series Web Original
I remember way back in the day that I watched this series on Youtube that was sort of like "Glove and Boots" meets Mushroom Land with a sprinkling of Fallout. From what I can remember, it was a puppet show made for kids who were currently in an underground bunker after some disaster (I think nuculear fallout, but it could be something else). I remember there being four episodes, but they could have made more, with the last episode being a sort of quiz with every correct answer praising the bunker. Any idea of what I'm trying to remember?
old (think 90s/80s) anime film about a woman who falls in love with a werewolf and has two kids, a daughter and a son, with him. the werewolf dies at some point, and the woman and her two kids move out into the country and work on a farm? the woman's daughter accidentally bites someone at school, and the son feels increasingly disconnected from his human side, eventually leaving the family at the end of the film.
