Sherlock's had six, didn't stop people fanning over it.

[up][up][up][up] Yeah...that's not a great response. Wonderfalls was cancelled after four and it has a fanbase. Firefly was cancelled after only 11 (I think) and it has a fanbase. Heck, Pushing Daisies got cancelled twice. It's perfectly fine to be sad about something you don't think lived up to its potential.

FLCL was six.

Also I can't wait for the Critic to do more reviews that are mediocre at best! I hope he fires his gun in anger!

Maybe Emeriin just needs a hug?

This is no time to bemoaning your fate. After all, "fate" is not the culprit here. That honor goes to your stubborn sense of self-worth.

Well, FLCL was only written for 6 episodes.

Firefly had 13 episodes and it as well as everything else were canceled network tvshows. Not an internet series.

@Nidalla: Hey, Em is entitled to her feelings on the show, we all get attached to stuff we like, otherwise why are we even on this thread? And she may have overreacted, but now so are you.

I'll drop it if she does. I've had enough of the conversation actually going somewhere and then having it dragged done again every time emeriin and unnoun post.

@Odie: if you don't like the Critic, then how come you're even here?

-clings to wolf- Thanks. It's just life isn't working out right now, and the show was starting to make me try and get out of a slump. So this hurt.

I'm very disappointed that there won't be any Demo Reel. I enjoyed every episode of it and I was really excited to see more. I'm sad that it's gone, now. :c

[up]x5 BECAUSE GOD FORBID WE ACTUALLY CONVERSE IN THIS THREAD.

No fuck it I'm not letting this die. I think this is a real shitty move. I think it shows that Doug lacks constitution and is too easily swayed by his audience. Further more the Nostalgia Critic had gone from marginally funny to absolute shit months before it ended. Demo Reel is great it's at least different and holds some potential. YOUR TURN THREAD.

I actually thought Critic was at his best last year. There was tons of foreshadowing for the end, I always like crossovers, and Scooby Doo was a lovely finale.

And another thing: this was shot really dark, with Critic being threatening for once, Doug looking miserable and of course Donnie's understandable upset, but then whoops, triumphant music! Happy ending!

If he knows better, and he usually does, he'd better have some damn good damage control.

Actually, the only thing this proves is that Demo Reel was a flop. Also, Doug didn't make this decision on his own. He has bosses and a co-creator that he had to work with. Also, business had been down ever since the Critic ended. I'm sorry, but this is not a show of Doug Walker lacking constitution at all. It shows that Demo Reel just didn't have staying power and that most of the fanbase wasn't connecting with it. Doug's entire livelihood was on the line, so a decision had to be made one way or the other. Also, the Critic was never lacking in humor. He was hilarious from start to finish.

Is there really any solid proof that this Demo Reel thing was a failure, or are you stating opinion as fact?

Just because a series is cancelled does not make what happened in it pointless.

Who the fuck is going to make Doug stop doing what he wants? Blip? What bargaining chip do they have? Doug is their biggest monkey maker, NC or not. They can't afford to lose him.
