Shoot the Shaggy Dog seemed fitting.
Is it just me or is the video crashing (probably due to high traffic) I want to watch it before I form a real opinion beyond "somewhat excited, but at the same time saddened because To Boldly Flee has been undermined and it was such a good send off". (Incidentally I never got around to watching Demo Reel as I wanted to wait until I'd seen Wreck It Ralph first in case of spoilers (it being not out in the UK yet).
"Hmmm, should I fuel my own selfish needs or consider the other actors who will be completely fucked by this?" *checks bank account* "BYE BYE OTHER PEOPLE!!!"
Guys, really, you're making a bigger deal out of this than it is. It's a show. On the internet. SRS BZNIZ.
That's not a bad point, just worded in a shitty way. Screwing over your new friends and co-workers. Stay classy.
What the heck are Rachel, Malcolm and Jim going to do now?

I don't think DR got fucked over too much...well kinda, but since i wasn't too close to it, i'm not heartbroken
I feel like we should wait a little while before editing the pages. Wait for the dust to settle and the emotional high to die down, as it were.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Demo Reel's actors.
.....Now I'm kinda pissed, honestly.
I'm sure the actors from the show will still in some capacity be working on the site. I will admit, I worried about that too when I saw where the video was going, but, like I said, I'm sure the inevitable explanation video will make mention of that.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.@robbie But all that Character Development obsession, even from Rob's post about backstory that he seemed to have deleted. And I know Doug's not selfish and is probably confused as hell right now, but this isn't fair.

Most of the stuff he used was in the trailers.
Not Three Laws compliant.Fairly certain they're actors that can get other work. As well as people with day jobs.
Well, i didn' watch the last couple eps of DR but from what i hear, it ended some kind of arc
But Rachel was talking about the DVD and was implying that there'd be a second season because it was like a sitcom, and fuck I wanted Rebecca and Chick to meet up...
Not yet having watched the video, I can't help but laugh at the reactions I see here. They're like a 180 of what you normally see in this thread.
I'll admit to having similar thoughts while watching the video, but Doug doesn't strike me as the type to just abandon people like that.
@Brokenshell44, seriously, knock it off. You can voice your opinion, fine, but do it in a less inflammatory way. Be mature about this. Don't be a dick.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle....A friend that I've been trying to convince to give Demo Reel a chance, and has been so upset by the loss of the Critic has already started bugging me. Saying "I was obviously right, Demo Reel obviously sucked otherwise it would still be happening" and so on.
I spend months trying to defend something, and I lose anyway. It isn't Doug's fault, it's mine for giving a damn.
...At this point, Demo Reel has eight related videos total, including the extra mini ones.
The eighth Nostalgia Critic video was the review of The Super Mario Brothers movie.
Compare that review to the Demo Reel video Blue Patches. The difference is obvious.

Show me proof that Doug's kicked Rebecca and Malcoln out into the cold, Brokenshell. Show me. It's not Demo Reel is all they can do. Maybe he's planning on bringing them in by some other method on other shows and the like.
That didn't really sound like that much of a horrible sendoff.
I mean, yeah, the idea of DR being some kind of NC purgatory could be taken like that (I thought it was clever honestly)
@0dd1: See I just saw the page image for it and it kinda put me off, been really Spoiler Phobic about that movie. I didn't want to investigate any farther because he'd set a precedent with Bum Reviews.
Grow up, all of you. I liked Demo Reel, too, but all this "fuck you, Doug", isn't helping. I think he made a mistake ending Demo Reel so abruptly, but that's all it was. A mistake. I won't begrudge him this, because the new show was struggling, improved quality or not.
