What is Sylux's personality?

Again, he's very serious and almost robotically so. I said that twice already

Well, all we know of Sylux's personality is "Very serious and somewhat reserved", and I'm asking how you intend them to interact with other characters, since his personality doesn't sound like it's given to talking to others in a game about interaction.

That's what Character Development is for.

Honestly, I am going to be blunt.

I am agianst Sylux in general, the only idea I have ever liked for them is Rai's and even then I may have turned him down if I was running things.

Sylux runs on mystery, and as such playing her ruins that, you can not play them and keep the mystery up, it is cannon rape of the charecter in the sense that you are forfeiting there bigest trait for our own ends.

I am not the only one to make a call here, and I do apoligize, but this is honestly how I feel....

I'm kinda with Imca on that, honestly. I typically prefer mysterious characters to stay mysterious. Other than that, I don't think I have issues with how people play a character (unless it's heavily OOC to what the actual character is like without a justification).

...My main problem here is that, if I can be blunt, so far Dreig hasn't explained how his character is going to actually be interesting to interact with since as far as I can infer Sylux has all the personality of a wooden post, has no implied motivation to talk to others given that they're reserved, nor anything interesting to make me want to interact with them beyond their existence as Sylux.

Dreig, all we know is that he is a robot who is SRS BSNS 24/7 and he's reserved - i.e., does not like to socialize.

SRS BSNS 24/7 can be played well, because they might like talking to people. Reservedness can be played well, because shy people can succeed here. Robotic personality can be played well, because maybe the robot wants to study these strange fleshbags around it. But all of those together are extremely difficult to pull off. Because that character is not just completely serious about doing things all the time, they also don't like talking to people, which if I'm not mistaken is the purpose of this game. And since they're a robot then they aren't going to go out of their way to socialize for any reason, because they have no intrinsic need to.

Sylux is probably going to fade into the background like that. And I apologize if this is incorrect in some way, because I'm just extrapolating the information you've given us. If you can't figure out how to explain it, then don't play Sylux until you can, because most of us here aren't convinced you'll do well.

He may or may not actually be a robot in canon. I'm operating under the assumption that he isn't. Should've made that clearer.

When he says "robotic", I believe he's referring to "robotic personality", as in someone who acts autonomously in a predefined manner, or someone who generally acts without emotion or original thought.

In other words, someone with the charisma of a wooden post.

Truth be told, that shit is anoying a couple of us OOC too Dreig, Kirb, and Kris.

And you best be lucky this was not our thing, or else the explosives would have went off, and we would be laughing at you OOC when you complained about your charecters becoming chunky salsa....

and you dove into a pile of them like a swimming pool, by the nine hells you all.... I got yelled at many times while new about being triger happy but this is a new extreme, and since the other upset parties are hiding and not speaking like every one seems to do about there problems any more, I am going to.

I dont know using the nukes at all is pretty dumb considering how easy it is to kill every one near by, nuclear weapon deployment is NOT something to be taken lightly for any reason what so ever.

Back in WAOAA they had a whole week long debate over weather or not to use a self cleaning nuke, one with no radiation.

Even though nukes are over hyped by fiction there shere blast radius combined with the massive side effects for people who are not rad immune are not worth it.

Also, just no.... Genius Ditz should NEVER EVER be applied to explosives ever, being a ditz rules you out imediatly, unless you want to end up with missing fingers, or in this case, being incinerated or with fractured genes.

Uh, I didn't even dive into them. I had Marisa sift through them, yeah, but I had her use some degree of caution, similar to when she handles her potion bombs.

Kirb did that one, you still acted like she was having a bomb orgasam though, and the general treatment of them
