I know. I mean that it's funny that the nightmare fetishists in nightmare fetishist territory still feel the need to explicitly mention that I am aware that this thing I enjoyed is scary in principle but I personally was not actually scared by it.
(I've done this earlier in the thread too. :P )
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableFunny, that reminds me of a nightmare from one of T. A. Barron's Merlin books.
I wonder what happens when the horns keep growing after that...

The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeablelast night's episode of face-off was so terrifying I think I have a candy phobia now.
The Erl King...gakh!
No disrespect to the Fair Folk, but fixing stuff is only part of the reason I carry a multi-tool with me everywhere; a handy bit of pointy iron is always comforting to have around.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Aheheh. :D I love that particular rendition of him - how everything is abstractly blurred, and how it suggests his presence only in the absence of the mist...
I found this kind of nightmarish, in a way. If you don't trim the horns of a ram, and it's unlucky enough to have horns that spiral inward as they grow, I am told that it's possible for them to lose one of their eyes because the horn grows into it. Little by little, over the course of months or years, a horn slowly edging its way closer to your eyeball...
Be not afraid...
