Labyrinth of Galleria coming West.

So, Disgaea 6 is coming to Steam soon, but it has me wondering if there are any plans to remake 3 or D2 (currently the only gaps there due to PS 3 related issues) and if not, what differences did 4 had that allowed them to remake the game?

...Didn't we just have 6? Like it was maybe a year or two ago, but still. Then again, I can believe that they've been working on creating assets for some time to warrant a second game in the 3D engine.

The protagonist appears to be a samurai demon.

I don't know if the proper term is "xenophobic" or "nationalist" or something else, but I don't like the premise.

There is definite feeling of "Fantasy Counterpart Culture of Japan and aftermath of Meiji Restoration" going on, yeah.

There seems to be a female gunslinger this time.

Felt like 6 was a prototype of something, so 7 being so soon doesn’t seem that surprising.

Humanoid classes known to be returning:

Warrior (both), Cleric (both), Archer (both, 1st game with male archer since 3), Angel (female), Heavy Knight (both, 1st game with male since 4), Gunslinger (both, 1st time with female since 3, Mage (both), Brawler (both, female has been absent for a while), Shaman, Ninja (both), Thief, Professor, Magic Knight.

This suggests Celestia will be showing in the story somewhere. There is also a unique purple haired angel too.

Guess the 3d leap has given them reason to port the older designs despite them not being used since 5.

This does give some hope that the dynamic duo of succubi and catgirls can be reunited in this game, ato a lesser extent that they would be bringing back characters from non disgaea NIS games.

Itd be a shame to have kaiju sized units, but not the most badass overlord to turn into one.

My brother has a theory that based off the interface structure, 6 may have been a phone game that had to be upscaled into a full game (maybe due to needing a game that will sell well due to devestating commercial flops.

Would explain…quite a lot such as lots of cut classes and the axed weapon proficiency system.

On a side note, seems likely the reason we didn’t get Christine Cabanos as Usalia in 6 was due to maternity leave.

Prinny Presents NIS classics volume 3 is coming out next week.

I can't wait to see the story added to the PSP version of La Pucelle.

I also heard that La Pucelle has no penalty for killing allies, unlike Disgaea games.

We need it to sell well so maybe NIS goes "Ok fine, we'll localize the other Marl games.". Or New Marl games. Or Both.

Hopefully I can play La Pucelle again without having to BS my way through most of the game.

Does anyone know when NIS Classics 3 is released?

Disgaea 7 coming to west this fall.

Sale on package of Disgaea 1 through 6 Although a few commenters have pointed out that this deal might actually be a worse deal than buying each of these individually.

Happy 20 years of Disgaea. It is now old enough to drink in Japan

A hilarious thing is that Mao is on the sale image, but Disgaea 3 is not even sold on Steam.

There is no PC port of 3 period. It and d2 brighter darkness are stuck on PS 3 still.
