I like this picture◊. In the version found in the Hour of Darkness artbook, Laharl is standing on the skull alone. Now he has his friends with him.
Maybe the new angel is Flonne and Laharl's chil- I'm joking, I'm joking! Don't shoot me!
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajOut of curiosity, was that ever supposed to represent anything up until now? I remember seeing that art along with the anime's ost tracks, but that's about it.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyIt's a nice way to see how Haradaya's art has changed. Personally, I prefer the softer colouring and lining he used before to the hard-edged style he uses now. The former made the Netherworld look wonderfully ethereal, like so◊ (it's the Monobook background for the Disgaea wiki. I cropped and extended it from the opening artwork of Laharl beneath the Red Moon).
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajSeeing as it is now Halloween, Neptune found a costume to wear today◊. Purple Heart may have been the better choice for the costume but hey it's still cute. Noire would of joined her, but she's busy, again◊. At least Nepgear is helping a little.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2@Yuanchosaan, your picture gives me a 403 even after typing on the URL bar.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."^It's the one on page 2 of the recent DD 2 link.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajMan, it's not even pants! He is wearing those strange short pants things that stop short and leave a small bit of leg showing.
Darn it Harly.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Dang it I was going to post that, oh well too slow I guess. Liking the new way they are doing the cut scenes and high quality Flonne is moe.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2They have a name? I still think they look silly. Can't decide if they are shorts or pants.
...High quality Flonne is indeed cute.
...Wait, there is going to be DLC to restore them to their Disgaea 4 sprites, yes? ...I can get Flonne (Archangel, even though her current form is basically Disgaea 4 Fallen Angel) and I can get Laharl (shorts instead of plus-fours) but...Etna looks exactly the same.
What, are they going to do what they did with Asagi from 3 to 4 and give her a new pose?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.So they actually showed the first Giant Skull pic then had it transition to the new one? ...That takes away the subtileness of the callback!
Nitpicks aside, the trailer was OK I guess. The gameplay looks pretty fun, even if nothing particularly new compared to D4. The panels that light up to show move range are different I guess?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.So it would seem that we have wyrms confirmed as well? Nice, although I would have preferred them just bringing the pyros from D3 in. The former's design always felt rather redundant compared to regular dragons, which have already been established as series mainstays.
Odd how they didn't show any cut-in transition here, since that was a fairly hyped new feature in D4 and Vita!D3. Then again, I suppose this is all primarily just beta stuff, after all.
And I just noticed that the mounting gimmick might be a way to make up for the monster units' inability to lift normally, judging from that brief zombie tower attack.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyThe Fire Demons only appeared in D3 and were basically humanoid Wyrms anyway. All the other games just use the Wyrms. (Though I think D4 is the only game to not have either)
Also, good catch on the mounting and throwing thing. I didn't catch that.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I've known about that* , I'm just saying that it would have been both cooler and more sensible to keep the revamped BURN EVERYTHING monster units over the originals since having to inevitably compare them and regular dragons* after a sizably long period of time would be rather awkward, especially when they had an option where they could have just avoided that issue entirely with a different preexisting design.
But hey, Grandfather Clause, I suppose. I haven't really seen the wyrms in action at all yet, anyway, so it's otherwise mostly just idle bias.
Funnily enough, I was also going to point out what seemed to be a genuine unique combination attack in a Disgaea game... until I realized it was just a new team attack.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy...They are both in D2? From everything I've seen and heard, they just use the Wyrms.
Note that Vanilla D2 also had neither of them.
Also, the Wyrms are different enough from the Dragons that I don't mind having them around. The same way the Skeleton Dragons are different from both, so I don't mind having them either.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.D2 had dragons from the start. Wyrms were part of Dark Hero Days. You unlock them in the main game after you've recruited the actress in Axel Mode.

Yes, I knew that. I meant Wyrms and Fire Demons.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed....Okay, nevermind, that was just a misinterpretation of the first paragraph on the Fire Demons' entry. The wording made me think that they were coexisting for whatever reason.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI think it refers to how the Fire Demon was the Wyrm in D3, but then the Wyrm returned in D2 and the Fire Demon never came back.
Sorry if that was confusing.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Y'know what's even more confusing? People using "D2" to refer to "Disgaea 2" when Disgaea D2 was just discussed.
I call that one DD2.

Neither can Majins. Hence the comparison.
