Did I say it did? We were talking about how Fire Emblem generally averts wearing armour that offers no protection on the battlefield. Whether Nono's outfit is appropriate or not, it's not what she wears in battle, so it's not supposed to protect her. Moot point.

And are you sure she's supposed to be nine? She seems too tall for that in her official art.

'Nine' was a random stand in for 'too young to wear that'.

See, from what I've seen, she does act quite young, but she seems to be about as tall as the shorter females in the group.

The only really damning things about her are her demeanour, and her chest, and both can be fixed in localization (via making her not as young, and covering her up a little more, respectively).

Okay, guys, is wasting dozens of turns on maps that have unmoving enemies normal for growing supports? Because that's all this page tells me I can do and having them actually fight side by side seems more conductive to them liking eachother more. You know, supporting each other.

Yep. Basically, clear everything except the boss, then get your support level (you can work on this during the battle itself, obviously).

It's basically the same thing as Arena grinding.

There's gotta be a better system for this.

Increase support points when they engage in battle while adjacent. Increase support points when they attack the same enemy. If you make a game without Permadeath you can have a big boost happen if one unit avenges another's defeat!

Or they can all just laze about in a dungeon for twenty minutes killing time. Explains why they're all so droll about it despite the fact that there's theoretically a pitched battle going on.

I liked the PoR system, which had units score support points for participating in the same chapter and had the actual conversations take place in the base screen.

I sure said that!

That's why I like Po R's support system. It's based around how many maps each person is on with someone, and the amount of maps varies between specific sets of people (I.E: the antisocial Soren takes very long to build supports with both Ike and Stefan, but Elincia can go from nothing to C, and then C to B with Ike immediately after her first available chapter of use (which she is forced on, assuring that those supports are always available). Different supports are constrained by story events, so for example Ike builds decently fast with Titania from nothing to C, and C to B, but going from B to A requires a far longer amount of time.

I am liking the way Awakening's system works. Instead of standing around, they actually fight alongside each other in battle to bulid support, though the actual conversations happen at base.

And yes, doubling up and having battles two on one is a gameplay mechanic now.

New Awakening DLC "Future of Despair". Save Cynthia, Nn, Noire, and Degel from prison. The stat of the children depend on the inherited stat, so if their parents are not yet determined, their stat is extremely base.

The map boss is male Mark, who becomes a bad guy because his mother is Gimle. Talk with MU to avoid the fight, but with female MU, you'll get an extra convo.

The next "Future of Despair" has two children, looks like it's Wood and Azure, fighting as decoy to let the other two, Chambray and Brady, escape.

I already mentioned the DLC episode about saving the kids.

Didn't know he was the boss, though I guess this alternate universe assumes female MU, since Marc is male in this episode, and since Gimle is possessing his mother, he is fighting for him.

I didn't know that the second Future of Despair was already announced. I am pretty sure the first one was announced less than a week ago.

EDIT: Wait, the way you phrased that...you didn't know that MU gets possessed by Gimle in the Bad Future timeline?

I'll be honest, from the supports I've read, Marc doesn't exactly come off as someone who has much common sense. I could easily see him following someone simply because they look like his mother.

If your father was dead, your (potential) sister abandoned you to save some other world, and your mother is the vessel of evil dragon that at least give you some place in her rank, what will you do?

Just checking, Mark isn't in bad future time line LITERALLY son of Gimle as in Gimle got pregnant while in MU's body resulting in Mark?

Also, why I'm reminded of Julius?

From his supports, Mark recognizes Lucina (if you choose to marry Krom) as his sister and the father as his father, thought without remembering his face first. But it's with MU that Mark is very affectionate, which means that of all of her family members, he's closest to his mother and probably lived with her longer than with his father and sister.

In this things start a bit dark as from other children's supports we know that their fathers died not long after Gimle's resurrection in war against the Corpses, with Nn specifically never personally met her parents. I think we can guess that Mark was actually raised by Gimle-possessed MU after the children scattered trying to reach the Other World Gate.

Finished seeing the map in action myself.

The girls are in prison at the center of the map. The position is:

Cynthia _|_ Degel

Noire ___|___ Nn

I had said that their stats are depending on what they inherited, and it's really playing big here because their not alone in their cells. Stripped off of their weapons, pressed into separate corners by two Corpse units (Generals for Cynthia, Soldiers for Nn, Mercs for Degel, Barbarians for Noire), and basically tortured to death; they could be killed in the first turn, and the position of the door cells makes it impossible to save Cynthia and Degel if their parents aren't determined. Man... I could see a hentai already.

On the other hand, Mark is a level 20 Sorcerer, wielding Goetia tome and having Crimson Curse and Counter in his arsenal, and flanked by two Battle Monks. If any of the army gets inside a room next to his roosting place, he'll jump to the fight immediately. If you kill him though, he surprisingly accepting his death, saying while smiling that he deserves it. The objective is to destroy every enemy units, so either kill him or let him surrender.

Reinforcements come from the stairs at every corners, mostly Sorcerers, Tricksters, and Sages.

Yeah, I am pretty sure all of the children were at least born before, well, the Interlude happened.

Of course, it is possible that Gimle!MU could have still gone back and raised Marc to use as a weapon or something

And, of course, you also have to remember that the recruitable Marc may have completely different circumstances than the DLC!Marc. (Not that it helps, as going by his supports, it isn't clear if he comes from the same universe as the other kids or not)

Awakening's time-traveling dimension-hopping dabbling into a continuity I'm already only vaguely familiar with gives me a headache.
