That's why you don't leave them just sitting there. Just use a Rescue Stave to warp them over to Chrom and have Chrom talk to them. Pair them up with either of their parents and then they can probably solo the map.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Or make sure she's a class that can take that hit. When Morgan is a manakete, she can start out with some pretty impressive stats.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.@Pulse: Personally I find she's been a little lacking in the damage department, but shouldn't be anything I can't fix with the Hezul Scroll.
Also, I'm led to understand that the Knight's Proof promotes everything (except Leaf + Linoan). Is this correct? In which case, suggestions on first guy to promote? Currently I'm leaning toward Fergus, Makua, or possibly Dashin (since Karin is lacking in levels somewhat IIRC).
Promote Asvel. Then laugh at all bosses that you don't need to capture.
Okay, a little worried about recruiting Shiva. Safy's nowhere near where he is (even with Karin working to transport her faster), and he's starting to close in on my army. Advise?
Nvm, Shiva get.

There's a glitch in that chapter. Take a look at where the boss spawns. If you put one of your units on that tile before the boss appears, something wonderful will happen.
The boss and Raydric appear, have their conversation... and then the boss disappears. Since the boss is gone, no further reinforcements will appear except for the ones he comes with. The chapter is now practically done. Recruiting Shiva is now no longer a hassle since you can wait where you start.
Never knew about that glitch. Oh well, having Hicks deliver a Halberd to the boss' face was quite satisfying. Especially since it was a 30% chance.
Word of note: Carrion, who you're about to get, is amazing. And the game just hands him to you. For free.
Heart of StoneHave defeated all enemies. Now to arena abuse like fuck.
Don't forget to give your units the scrolls to make them grow better.
Still...despite the training montage, Cyas will break you later on... *shudders* Beware...
The Scrolls also confer, to use later games' terminology, infinite Dodge- You'll never take a critical hit carrying one.
I sure said that!Yeah, I added the scrolls.
So I've noticed.
Anyway. I managed to grind everyone up to LV 20.
Even despite rigging for L Vups with 4 stats, though, Bryton still manages to suck when compared against Hicks (who capped BLD by the way). Then again, Hicks had five more levels to rig than Bryton did, but still. Probably going to drop Bryton.
Haven't promoted anyone, but Karin, Shiva, and Nanna are definitely contenders for the first promotion. That said, the girls really need to hold onto the Dain Scroll once they promote (after I get the damn thing), and Nanna's getting the Magic Ring once I start the next map.
Also going to have to hook up Leaf with the Noba Scroll once I get it.

Gaiden's battle theme kicks ass
Isn't the Arena theme in 8 a remix of it?

Gaiden is just great.
As for its music, I like "Land of Sorrow" best. So beautiful. That transition at 0:41. Goddamn.
Also, the name "Reunion and then?" is so perfect for the track and chapter it plays for.

Gaiden really seems like the neglected stepchild of the series, even in its own time; there's not even any official art of the main villains!
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I think it'd be interesting to see how Fire Emblem could work as a Real-Time Strategy Action RPG. If Intelligent Systems decides to go that route, it would have to be a spin-off like Battalion Wars was to the Advance Wars series.
Enjoyment and Excitement!I wouldn't want that, given that I faaaar prefer turn-based to real-time.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Granted, the typical Fire Emblem gameplay conventions would need to be retooled to accommodate for the shift from TBS to RTS. But I think it could work and still fit in with the spirit of the series. At the very least it would make the battles larger in scale and more dynamic as opposed to static.
Enjoyment and Excitement!I don't see how it would make things larger in scale. The main difference between RTS and turn-based is just that it's possible to screw up by not paying attention to one side of the battle. I don't see how that's fun for anyway. Frankly turn-based allows them to up the scale infinitely because you don't have to divide your attention at any given moment. Whether or not that would be fun for anyone is a separate question.

So guys, honest question- Why is the music in Gaiden so much better than the music in Dark Dragon and Sword of Light?
I sure said that!Because Gaiden is better in general.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.The proper answer? The composer probably had more experience on what kind of music works best for the series after composing for FE 1.
I mean, I'm sure that's part of it, but there's also how little the FE 1 music seems to make use of the NES/Famicom's soundchip's capabilities. It was a fairly late release on the system and was developed by an in-house team at Nintendo, so I can't quite understand that bit.

I sure said that!
I got Morgan last night. That Myrmidon right next to her is kind of a dick move, as he could double her (at least, he could double mine) leaving her entirely at the mercy of her Miracle skill.
