South American and southeast Asian countries tend to be very humid due to their jungle environments.
Humidity is dumb.
When I come to power I'm going to make it illegal to be that humid.
Oh really when?Good luck with that. Because my idea is when I come to power I'm going to exterminate the mosquito and cockroach from this world.

Let's hope they don't fuck it up. Though the requirements seem to be stacked against anything in high capacity such as 9 or 5.7mm. It's looking for accuracy and power over trigger spam.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Go old-school with the Colt Walker, then.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Modernized 1911? In .40 cal?
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."No go for 9mm. There's literally no reason to use any other handgun caliber over it. Except for maybe the 5.7mm but even then it's armor piercing abilities have been copied.
Oh really when? The requirements of the MHS require 14 inches of ballistics gel penetration...at 50 yards.
I'm not sure 9mm has the oomph.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."9mm is famous around the world for it's excellent and if you do it up right it'll carve through body armor like butter.
.45 ACP on the other hand is famous for not having that and being a fat and slow round.

Oh really when?.45 ACP has a reputation for knocking people over (in both recoil and power), not needing to penetrate body armor.
As mentioned earlier, psychology may have an element to it. If you don't believe you have a round with stopping power you subconsciously will aim less than ideally. If you believe you do, you subconsciously aim closer to ideally.
At short ranges anyways. There are qualitative differences in "stopping power" at the rifle level, especially at long ranges.
Of course all that may be moot. If 9mm at 50 yards fails to penetrate 14 inches, the caliber is done as far as the Modular Handgun System is concerned. (Doubly so if it fails the accuracy test of 4 inch groups at 50 yards.)

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."But it's been definitively proven that the 9mm is better than the .45 ACP in literally every way. And .40 S&W

Oh really when?^ That "definitive proof" was basically the FBI saying "Good shots are better than bad shots numbnuts!". Arguing shot placement was better, not that 9mm had any uberbuff capabilities.
Especially since when you look at the actual physics, both .40 and .45 ACP impart more raw kinetic energy on target than 9mm. The main thing going for 9mm is capacity and low recoil compared to heavier calibers.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."No, they concluded that there was absolutely no difference in killing power between the three calibers.
Therefore 9mm is vastly superior thanks to it's lower recoil and higher capacity.
And that's not even getting into how great the penetration can be.
Oh really when? How well does overpressure 9mm perform then? I recall that the Swedish had some capable of penetrating some soft body armor.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThe Russian's special 7N21 overpressure 9mm rounds have the same penetration abilities as the 5.7mm round you'll find in a P90.
They're properly scary bullets.
Oh really when?Tom:Except the glaring holes in your argument is the FBI is saying the 9mm is as good or better then .45 and .40 offerings in performance because the round was constantly updated. It was in their reasoning for switching back to 9mm. Add in it is more accurate and easier to fire and you have something that is by all accounts better then .45 ACP which is still largely running off a black powder era cartridge design and the .40S&w which beats up the weapons and has harder to handle recoil. That and the knocking people down with bullets is a myth that was debunked a long time ago.

What about it? It seems to be a solid round in general. It has ammo for both hard and soft targets that reportedly work rather well.
Who watches the watchmen? However, the ammo is hard to find in North America.

Some debate in various Indian defense media about the adoption of an INSAS replacement.
In the Defence Forum India board, which I went to before, various comments have mentioned about supporting OFB and DRDO and suggests that Indian-based defense reporters were paid off to spout such things...
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Bat: Harder for civilians certainly.
Who watches the watchmen?Jesus, what kind of requirements are in place from India that the CZ 805 Bren—about as modern as you can get—would fail it, not to mention all the other contenders?

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"MSBS-5.56 full family revealed. I see only one problem with it, and that is that it does not come with wings.
I would recommend to the Polish Armed Forces to skip out on it until Fabryka Broni corrects this oversight, as otherwise they would be dishonouring the memory of Jan Sobieski.

I mean the gun that guy is using is old enough to be used by his grandfather.
I've seen some guns in service in the military barracks of my hometown that were manufactured before WWII and still in service.
Rio de Janeiro is hot like hell and the place is very impoverished, so it isn't unusual for poor people to skip wearing a shirt.
