Thanks to y'all sonsabitches, I really want to see Polandball: 40K Edition.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Somewhere, the USAS-12 is crying at this sight.
^ That bitch gun sucks in Battlefield 3. They nerfed it to uselessness.
Only because before it was a handheld IFV cannon with the Frag rounds.
Oh really when?^ Then they could've just saved their nerfing of the Frag rounds! It sucks using anything now!
And on another note: A Mystery Firearm Has Appeared In Libya.
The USAS-12 with frags is still pretty annoying when you are being spawn camped on Operation Metro.
Half-decent SPAS-12 use, however, can annoy Colonel 100 players even with the starting buckshot. Why hasn't the SPAS-15 made an appearance outside the first Bad Company?
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotBecause it's ugly
Oh really when?So is the KS-23. Never enough 23mm Shotgun.
Who watches the watchmen?Considering it predates the Saiga which didn't come out until 90's no it isn't. Most western Automatic Shotguns predate the Saiga by at least a decade. That includes the AA-12 1972 for the first version and the USAS-12 early 1980's. That isn't counting the several developmental designs either. Even in terms of semi-automatic shotguns the first successful design was from the late 19th century US. Give you one guess who designed that one.
Who watches the watchmen?John Moses Browning. Next.
That one was a bit easy :P
Who watches the watchmen?Bet you money that plastic bit they insist on keeping is causing something to shift when it starts to get hot and deforms.
Who watches the watchmen?^ From the sounds of the report, it looks like the whole system is riddled with flaws. Especially the receiver on account of using cheap lower quality plastics than necessary.
That single bit you're referring to is probably one symptom of a large number of problems with it.
There was a particular part that is surprisingly low grade plastic that is in direct contact with and supporting the barrel. The problem is of course it is around part of the barrel that gets the hottest ie near the chamber. They start firing and it melts or warps and causes the barrel to move out of alignment.
It is either cutting too many corners to cut weight or they have some serious material quality control issues they haven't addressed maybe even both. There are high strength and very heat resistant plastics but why the hell they didn't use them in the parts of the weapon prone to high levels of heat is beyond me.
They use metal parts in the 416 and 417 so why they felt the need to cut corners with the G-36 is beyond me.

Who watches the watchmen?German soldiers are not expected to fire their weapons?
So I guess Mattel is going to make a few recalls for their product.
Also one of the things I like about the Tavor, the trigger group is all steel.
Inter arma enim silent legesConsidered that the 416 and 417 were developed after the G36, there may have been a chance that they knew that there was such a flaw but decided that it was "too late" since the Bundeswehr had already received its order and decided to wish real hard that they wouldn't notice.
I mean, there are allegations in the article that H&K forged Bundeswehr acceptance marks on the rifles.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI believe it. If it gets real bad can't they go back to the G3?
Why can't we just have 5.56 versions of the G3 for them anyway? And the English could have their FAL back in 5.56 too. Everyone would be happy.
Oh really when? There is one. The HK-33. It was pretty much built off of the G-3 design and chambered for 5.56mm.
It has an immediate successor the HK-41 that was meant to be more compatible with NATO rifle accessories.

Who watches the watchmen?I am not surprised by the 33's weight. It is a somewhat modified clone of the G-3. It should be at least robust and reasonable to handle in full auto.
Who watches the watchmen?Kind of interesting shooting test with 9mm. Pretty decent performance at range especially out of the Kel-Tec Pistol Carbine. Not a really definitive test of max penetration without dense enough gel to test total penetration depths at those ranges. I would like to see more tests on full on full torso proxies ie the ones with simulated organs and bones.

Who watches the watchmen?Does that mean we would get modernized M-14s in 5.56mm? Kinda like the EBR only lighter caliber?
Emperor Stronk?
...what a pagetopper
