Yep, FDA, I had our last Character Sort bookmarked, and so I went few pages and found my initial results. I don't remember how many people I took the results from, and I had to play around a lot more ties and such, but the results are still technically solid.

Kokoro had so many points back then, I honestly believe there was some legit manipulation going on, then again my love for her transferred to Seija so maybe we all just got flipped. Speaking of which, she had one vote back then, will she fall once the ISC hype falls off, or has it already and she is forever in our hearts?

It's interesting, but I don't think it's worth totaling again until the next full release. This most recent sort has just been less of a census and more of a polling. Just trying to see where everyone ended up post-ISC, but without any large movers and shakers to threaten our Top 20s.

Oh yeah, definitely. smile It wasn't meant as a new polling/census of everyone either ^^, I was just interested in the fav chars of our new guy, so I asked him to do the Sorting. Then everyone just kinda snowballed into doin' it too ^^. It was way too soon from the last one, but whatever, doesn't hurt anyone smile. And yes, Mr. Horseman, it would certainly be cool if you could do the statistics again next Sorting census, next year.

1) Reimu Hakurei

I don't know if we can be friends.

I mean, I guess Reimu wasn't at the bottom of my list... (From about a year ago)

Actually, wait... Ah, here's the file...

128. Ruukoto 129. Reimu Hakurei 130. Reimu Hakurei (PC-98)

See? She beats out... her... marginally more dangerously negligent PC-98 self!

As for my favorite faction? "The underground", or Chireiden if you count them as mutually exclusive. I feel there's a lot of symbolism/commentary in putting the 'might makes right' and 'rule through fear' society beneath the ground, then having the inhabitant they fear most of all be completely isolated. They're kinda hypocritical, almost. But then, Satori does have the best house on the block... I dunno, its all very interesting to me.

Also, is the blazing hell abandoned or not? My headcanon says it is, but I guess the abandoned hell is the one with the forgotten city in the underground... Maybe they both are?

now that I think about it, Komachi seems to be on everyone's lists.

80. Komachi Onozuka.

Huh. Great catfish is 70. Nothing against you Komachi, but there are just too many awesomes ahead of you. Heck, even Cirno beat you at 72.

I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.

Komachi wasn't on my list, but she is still one of my favourites.

[up][up] I suppose it is also abandoned. I mean, it is also called "Remains of Blazing Hell"

Man I could never do that ladder thing...I tend to pick a lot of ties, which end up instead of ranking favourite individual character, makes me rank them in groups of tiers instead...with one tier containing multiple characters...

So do that instead. No one says you have to specifically think in terms of a one-and-one ranking.

I did, the problem is that the resulting list is....well, huge.

I think what I mean before is doing it in such a way that there's distinct answer as in actual ranked list of individual character rather than tier list...

The Blazing Hell was abandoned and the remains of the fires in stages 5 and 6 were the pilot light, or something.

Holy crap, just read this here on the Weaksauce Weakness page:

The Irish/Celtic Dullahan, a fearsome headless fairy that rides at night (either alone or accompanied by banshees) to splash buckets of blood into people's faces — to announce the recipient of a face-full will soon die. They're also a mean shot with a whip, and sometimes drive horse-drawn carriages decorated with human skulls and femurs. There's no known way to actually kill a Dullahan, and the only way to ward one off is to exploit its intense fear of... gold.

Sekibanki, you already are pretty badass awesome, but seriously, there's always room for improvement! That carriage should be a priority. Get on that. Then you could have a race with Kaguya's ox carriage evil grin

Don't tell that to Reimu. She'll shake down the village for their money to ward off that scary rokurokubi, as well as the many other dangerous youkai that are weak against money.

Is the currency they use in gensokyo even made of gold?

[up] Pretty certainly not. It might be interesting to think who actually might have some gold at all in Gensokyo. Remilia, probably.

Depends. The modern currency was in place at the time Gensokyo split off, but there were still older gold coins in circulation. If there are any gold coins, they're incredibly rare.

You can squeeze gold out of evil spirits.

Reimu uuuuused to have gold but Kasen confiscated it, clearly to leave Reimu vulnerable to dullahan doom (but then reimu just used danmaku and Kasen's scheming was for naught).

Komachi, perhaps? I mean, she uses the coins she gets from the dead as danmaku, so she's probably got plenty of it to spare.

It might be interesting to think who actually might have some gold at all in Gensokyo.

I imagine that Buddhism and Taoist Group both have some golden artefacts, and Shou can attach gold to herself. And if need be, Reimu would go underground to mine gold ore. Which does bring up one joke regarding "The "Serious" Retelling of Subterranean Animism" where Kanako has completely overlooked that she needs uranium and whatnot to get nuclear energy, which is really rare in Gensokyo.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
