Who knows? All we have is that tweet
Well, the first 5 are chiptunes...
Beyond that, though, each game's music tends to have a different tone
That's true. Maybe it's just the chiptune soundfonts overall.
In the backyard, buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster, takin' root in the property...Wow, balls add a head of height to Youmu.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell it's a standard in Japan for men to be taller than women.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)That much taller? At presumably the same age? With the same genetics except a chromosome?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersMyon-kun denwa.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."And then we need Yoshika eating Yuyuko and the food chain will be complete. And Waggysaggy eating Wriggle and Wriggle eating Yoshika for complete Ouroboros.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Well, fish (Waggy) eat bugs (wriggle) and bugs eat corpses (Yoshika). And Yoshika eats spirits (Yuyuko), so yeah, would could have an ouroborous thing going on.
I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.The guy who made the 3D Reimu vs. Remilia, Marisa vs. Flandre and Reimu vs. Yuyuko videos has a trailer up for the next one, Reimu, Marisa, and Sakuya vs. Yukari. There's also a couple "Making of" videos for the first two and Yuyuko.
@English Touhou Download Version thing: Hmmm. No idea what's goin' on there ^^. Let's wait and see.
I really liked that Dude Youmu pic! Especially that they were both there Hmmm... I'm tempted to browse through the Genderswap pics on Booru to find similar ones, buuuut.... could get disgusting . On the other hand, dude versions of Touhou girls should theoretically reduce the amount of sexualisation and shameless fanservice.
...I'll check it out a bit. If I don't return , tell Faw er ist klasse und wir vermissen ihn ^^.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! All righty! I have survived my trawl of the Booru Genderswap Touhou pics with relatively minimal soul scarring. I saw things that would break most sane minds, but it went quicker than expected. Sadly, I found quite few pics that were in accord with my quite ridiculuous standards of quality and decency. And here they are:

Forever liveblogging the AvengersNo. Pyramid Head.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I thought Pyramid Head wore an apron.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBecause I'm bored and forgot to bring the thing I need to do the stuff, here's a random change of topic: what do prominent Touhou doujin authors do afterward. Basically I stumbled upon a manga by Aki Eda which got me wondering. So, without further ado, list.
- Aki Eda: the aforementioned infamous artist of Silent Sinner and Blue. I stumbled upon a manga titled Bonnouji, which apparently plays to Aki Eda's strengths by containing no conflict whatsoever. It's a romance manga where girl meets guy, they start hanging out more and more, they decide to move in together and eventually they get married because why not. The end. Arguably some kind of message about being true to yourself instead of some artificial ideal of adulthood. Touhou signature: the main character drinks a lot?
- Flip Flops: the circle behind Variant Youyoumu, also known as "that PCB rewrite where they ended up playing mahjong for some reason". He/she/they/it wrote a manga called Nekogami Yaoyorozu which is a comedy about some cat god doing god stuff. I never finished it because it didn't contain enough dramatic mahjong for my tastes. I guess it got made into an anime too. Touhou signature: casually supernatural, gods simply exist as a fact of daily life.
- Yoshitake Ushiki: guy who did Advent Cirno, a Final Fantasy parody starring Cirno. Obviously. Ended up working on Yumekui Merry, which is some sort of fantasy action story featuring a badass talking cat (the only part anyone remembers). I dropped it in the middle of the final arc, because that's how I roll. Not because it was particularly bad, but just because I don't feel the need to see endings. I guess maybe there was some shocking twist that changed everything. Touhou signature: female badasses loosely based on fairy tales.
- Bomber Grape: the guy who does the Bomber Grape stuff. I can't really describe him. Rumored (rumored!) to be the artist of Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou, mostly because the art looks exactly the same and the sense of humor is similar. I don't want to spend too much time on this because it's just an unconfirmed rumor. Touhou signature: Bomber Grape.
So... are there any other rags to riches stories of doujin authors? I'm vaguely curious.

Shocking twist: it wasn't the final arc actually.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDid it change everything?
A significant portion of everything has been changed.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe lady behind Hanayamata has done some Touhou doujinshi. Saku Saku Tei is doing a manga called Shinozakisan Ki Wo Ota Shika Ni. Minakata Sunao has done a fair bit of Touhou work along with... a lot of things, most prominently Akuma No Riddle
I saw ZUN's tweet.
Does this mean they'll be on Steam? I brought it up on Tumblr but people threw back and forth that Steam release seems...iffy. Way less iffy in general that ZUN would want us American fans to get our hands on it legally, though, that's probably going to be a thing from what I saw.
Also, speaking of the older games, I got them up and running fine on some computers at college, which gave me a thought...I guess the...atmosphere? on the older games' music seems different. Which makes sense, and has probably been discussed before, but. How would you guys describe it?
