I don't understand why Kyle doesn't blame Cartman. He's clearly the negative influence.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Because Cartman always plays the victim and so it'll never work. Destroy something Cartman likes instead.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. And in the process, kill millions of innocent Canadians and probably bring back the American-Canadian war to 2017.
Nice job, Kyle.
"We be we baby!"It's really more Garrison's fault.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I agree, it's not like Kyle told Garrisson to just Nuke 'Em.
Optimism is a duty.Kyle's lesson to learn is that sometimes being well-intentioned has horrifying consequences.
You know, I know they were trying to be poetic, with Kyle going through the same character arc Mrs. Broflovski did in the movie, but... I don't know. As sanctimonious as Kyle can be sometimes, I just can't see him getting offended by fart jokes. The beginning of the episode felt forced to me.
Also, how did Terrance and Phillip get so old while the kids stayed the same age?

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money. It wasn't the fart jokes themselves, it was the victims of those fart jokes that pushed Kyle over the edge. He started feeling sorry for the people T&P were farting ON.
Of course, the whole thing becomes rather meta if you remember that T&P were created to parody what people were dismissing South Park as being: just a crude, unfunny show with nothing but fart jokes. Basically, Kyle is also feeling sorry for the victims of South Park itself. Which is somewhat understandable, since those victims were not always deserving of what they got on the show (remember Barbra Streissand?)
T&P got old because their whole schtick got old. At first T&P were funny because it was So Bad, It's Good, then a lot of jokes came from coming up with creative fart jokes, but eventually that well dried up, and T&P pretty much dissapeared. Its also a meta joke at Matt and Trey's own expense: the creators are getting older, and they are still doing the same old comedy routine.

Optimism is a duty. Also, I just had this thought at work; the reason Kyle is blaming Canada is because, subconsciously, he remembers that the Canadian Refugees are what caused Mr. Garrison to run for President and win it, which in turn got Cartman back into being an ass, which in turn corrupted Heidi. He's essentially blaming Canada for everything that's gone wrong in his life.
I would also absolutely love it if Mrs. Broflovski was the one who tried to get Kyle to stop being a jerk, only for her to be ignored as Kyle ends up killing T & P, which allows Satan and Saddam Hussein to come back to the earth. It'd be really hilarious that the exact same situation happens but in reverse.
But... it's just a show. He must know that the people being farted on are just actors, right? I'd understand if Terrance and Phillip was a prank show that had them farting on random unsuspecting people, but unless I'm mistaken, it's a scripted, fictional show.
As for T&P getting old as the result of a meta-joke about the show itself... okay, I can buy that.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I suspect that the "culture of meanness caused by fartjokes" was supposed to be a reference to rape culture. In other words, Kyle's problem was that he believed that the fart jokes in media made it look as if being randomly mean to people was cool and normal.

Like when men make sexual jokes online and in reality and men in power use their positions to have sex with multiple women.
"We be we baby!"Meh, no one cares about Saddam Hussein anymore. Maybe they can bring back Bin Laden.
Or, to be really topical, they bring back Kim Jong-il. Maybe have him team up with his son to overthrow Satan, who is, after all, an icon of the West.
Optimism is a duty.Did anyone else notice that they called the T&P Show a cartoon even though it was shown later to be filmed on a studio?
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541Interesting catch! Perhaps a slip up? Also note that T&P being a studio production rather than a cartoon has been established since before the movie.
Next episode is already the last one of the season. These short seasons go by so fast!
Optimism is a duty.I always took Ta P to be a reflection of matt and trey. so like in the movie it was moral guardians worried that the show was making kids into bad people, but now it's millenials who think the show is making people go bad, like how people blame south park for the rise of the alt right like kyle with heidi, I took this ep to have them saying that people who hate on their show are coming from the opposite side now but its still for the wrong reasons and placing undersered blame on them
Perhaps T&P are also old because when this show started, it was the parents of the target audience (young adults, I assume, and maybe secretly teens) that complained about the show the most, and the show could then easily sympathize with its audience. But now the opposition is coming from within that same target audience. South Park's audience has fundamentally changed over the past twenty years, and I can imagine it makes Matt and Trey feel old at times.
Optimism is a duty.Season finale, and it's a Stranger Things/It parody with Garrison.
"We be we baby!"So Trump is an Eldritch Abomination now?
Optimism is a duty.No human is that orange!
Also Shub-Niggurath Mother of a Thousand Young lives underneath South Park.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Can it be that Heidi finally broke free of our favorite fat prick?
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefOne can hope.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I was dissapointed they didn't go full Eldritch Abomination with Gari Trump, but then again, they may (may!) need him back for next season, so they can't go too far with him yet.
I was a bit dissapointed with the breakup, actually, I was hoping we would get a bit more of Heidi outdoing Cartman. I think Cartman deserves Evil!Heidi more than a breakup. But this was pretty good too.
The White family? A bit too straightforward on the nose, perhaps. Other than the name, they were pretty meh.
Ike going full Mountie on Gari Trump was great. But how will they deal with Canada next season? Its a bit hard to de-escalate from a nuclear holocaust.
I assume they picked Canada to nuke because North Korea would have been too provocative?
Optimism is a duty.> I assume they picked Canada to nuke because North Korea would have been too provocative?
no it's just funnier to nuke Canada
New theme music also a box
In a way, they are, because they don't have the patience for slow-moving social changes. They want those changes now, and often in the most radical way possible, even if that would end up harming the very cause they are working for. And lets not forget that there ARE good causes underneath the surface of those movements.
Optimism is a duty.
