That actually makes sense: if he used to be a Justice Society enemy in this continuity just like the comics, he'd have to be up there in age.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I suppose if he kept himself in shape (he's called Sports-Master, so keeping healthy makes sense), and he got his hands on some stuff that kept his body in peak condition, it would be easy for him to keep kicking ass well into his 60's.

One Strip! One Strip! My dad could do two laps in a pool in one breath, ski all day, and go for long hikes in his 60's. It's not that big of a stretch.
Fair enough.
I think Super-Villaining demands even more out of you then most normal routines, but you're right that it's within the realm of possibility.
One Strip! One Strip! It's a question of cumulative damage. A fit, active person who visits the gym regularly is going to be in better condition at 60 than say, a professional athlete. The former merely stayed in shape while the latter trained and competed strenuously, causing wear on their body. Look at the many health problems pro hockey players, quarterbacks and boxers have in their later years. Now consider boxers don't have a match every nigh, but badass normals in comics take/dish a pounding every day. Damage to joints and muscles never fully heal 100%, even with the best care. That stacks up over time, more so when you're still pushing yourself as hard even when you're past your physical prime. Even without years of wear, older bodies are weaker. Bones are less dense, soft tissue loses elasticity, at the cellular level things are less efficient. Even the immune system slows down.
Sportsmaster isn't going out and fighting every night; sometimes his presence is all that's required, and he's overseeing things. Plus, the Light has access to magic, Atlantian tech, and cutting edge technology.
Exactly. Combine that with him keeping himself in shape as mentioned, and it'd be easy for him to keep pulling off the stuff we see him do in series even at his age.
Hell, Slade is probably as old or older, but he's a super soldier, so he also has a good reason to not be anywhere near as fucked up as he should be living such a life.
One Strip! One Strip!Slade is 52 in season 2.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Slade is younger than Sportsmaster?
Wow. I didn't expect that at all.
One Strip! One Strip! He certainly went gray faster though. I wonder if Sportsmaster dyes his hair.

Speaking of which, was it ever said what happened to Alan Scott or any of the Justice Society beyond Jay and Fate?
I was about to say "it's worth noting that Sportsmaster's original nemesis died of old age," before I realized I didn't know if Young Justice Alan Scott actually is dead.
Jay Garrick is apparently pushing 90 in the YJ-Verse, though.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm pretty sure no mention of the rest of the Justice Society was made.
Still no hopes of a third season? If only they Kickstarted it or something...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.CN isn't interested. Not to mention it would be a very expensive Kickstarter.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So I can't remember, but was it ever stated why the Reach were trying to make metahumans? A part of me wonders if they were just going to use those kids as cannon fodder against Scarab Warriors to see the Scarabs really were so powerful.

They wanted to harness the metagene as a weapon. Use it to enhance their warriors.
Young Justice S2 will be up on netflix Feb 1st.
About time. I always thought it was weird that they had that season 2 image when they took so long in putting it up.
They still need Beware the Batman and the inevitable appearance of Teen Titans Go! and they'd have featured all 4 main DC Nations at any point.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Greg Weisman has a suggestion for people that want Season 3
Purchase the Blu-rays and watch Season 1 and 2 on Netflix over and over again.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm not getting my hopes up.
Yeah. It's technically one of the best ways to show support for the show, but I hate how some clickbait sites are making it seem like it's a sure shot.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Khary Payton (Aqualad) said on Twitter that while he hasn't heard anything official, he has a very good feeling about Young Justice Season 3.
It might not mean anything, but its funny timing with Greg having a panel this weekend.
Holy shit!
Is a Greg Weissman show finally gonna get a third season?
The ground fells a little cold. I guess Hell froze over.
I hear oinking above my head. Pigs must be flying.
What kind of craziness is this?
One Strip! One Strip!
He could be on performance enhancers, maybe something to slow/reverse the aging process. His buddies certainly would bring things like that to the table as perks.
