I think it's just the magic stuff that's CG. It makes it look really other worldly.

From the actual shots of Guts, it does looks like CG, but it isn't nearly as conspicuous as it is in the trailer. Honestly i'd prefer normal animation, since it's half the art is half the appeal of Berserk, but beggars can't be choosers.

I'm unsure of how I feel about that. On the one hand, it guarantees a fairly large budget and a lot of covered material. On the other hand, it means these'll come out even more slowly than the manga does.

The first installment has finally been released. It's pretty badass, despite the Conspicuous CG.

I heard Golden Arc is to be finished this year. Pretty fast pace. Ain't this year epic when it comes to movies? Evangelion 3.0, Puella Magi Magica Madoka movies, Berserk Golden Arc...

... Griffith manages to take a Hands-On Approach without actually laying a hand on you.

Griffith can sexually harass you just by standing there and letting his hair flow in the wind while staring in the distance.

He can molest you with a few words and a look. (He does get slapped for that one.)

He's the sexual equivalent of Johan.

The CGI scenes on their own weren't jarring. However, when the CGI interacts with obviously hand-drawn scenes (see the part where the princess is first introduced to Griffith — the king was hand-drawn) they kind of stand out. Not that much of a barrier for enjoyment for an old hand like yours truly, and it's great to see the series again in glorious high-res (and shiny!) glory.
