"Eat bolts, brainless bone-bags!" I shriek as I shoot magic bolts at the skeletons from my warhammer. Not a bad bit of alliteration there, especially considering how little time I had to think of it; just my luck that there's nothing sentient around to hear it.

Well, that went... somewhat poorly. I mean, at least it wasn't a moisture-sucking tentacle or whatever, but still, that could've gone better than it did. So, uh... I'll probably try again later on, but for now, I'll head over and ask whether the orcs have gleaned any new information from the pillar, and then have everybody keep moving onward if they aren't totally worn out for whatever reason, this time heading toward the nearest actual unicorn piece as dictated by the map. Assuming they don't jump about wildly for no good reason just to spite us. Mostly me, since I'm the plaything of fate, but everyone else in the group by association.

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 168

First time posts for this session require you to state a race and class of a Dnd/Fantasy RPG variety. This is an RTD with some continuity and I want to make sure you don't show up with space-themed stuff when that doesn't fit with the general theme. I also recommend reading through my previous posts to get a sense of how I run things and some of the things you don't want to do. You'll also get a sense of the stuff that's going on by doing so.

Undying Phoenix (5): Cathy doesn’t know who this medic from the C&C series is. You pull out your summoning booklet and look for something that will help you. You happen to stumble upon an entry that is labeled “Medic” so you begin performing that ritual. A few feet away from you, a whitish summoning circle appears, and you then see someone in a whitish space-age armor suit come out from it. Once the person has firm feet on the ground, it walks toward you, and pulls you off the branch. It then extends one of its arms to you, and you see a beam of greenish light shine on you. Your wounds heal completely as the medic performs its work. You also happen to notice that your summon is equipped with a shotgun.
Blackie (1,6): You rip out one of the bolts and try to charge at whoever is assailing you. As you rush forth, you see someone equipped in blackish samurai-like armor, wearing a face mask, who seems to be holding a crossbow. You take your bolt and strike it into the person’s skull. Said person immediately collapses to the ground and its helmet falls off. When you examine this corpse, its skin seems to be grayish in hue, and it appears to have sharp fangs. You then hear the snap of a crossbow as a bolt goes driving through the back of your skull.    You died.    Respawn?
Cybersbe (3): You walk along the path, staying away from the edge. The path seems fairly stable, and you don’t feel that you’re in any particular danger of having it collapse under you as you continue on it. Eventually, you reach the tunnel at the opposite end of the cavern. The tunnel seems to go straight for quite some time. Eventually, you come across a round, sandstone brick chamber with a single pedestal in the center. The pedestal consists of a rough, goblet-like stand on top, with an indentation for your right hand, and a narrower column going into the floor. Four sculpted faces decorate this narrower portion. As you examine the room, you see six rail-like indentations going vertically along the sides of this cylindrical chamber. The chamber goes high up without any seeming end in sight, though you see a faint glimmer of light somewhere high up. You also see a number of rune-like inscriptions on the walls, but you can’t understand what they say. Furthermore, there seems to be a narrow slit in the entrance for a door or portcullis to drop down, which will probably trigger if once you press your hand into the indentation.
Kilgore Trout (1): You attempt to shoot magic bolts at the skeletons with your warhammer. As you aim it forth, a large spike shoots out from the handle and skewers your stomach.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Several of the ghost dwarves reappear. You hear them start chuckling at you.

Philosopher (6): You are now a doppelganger necromancer. You can now resurrect undead and add them to your ranks. You also come equipped with your two pistols, along with a wand. You come with a standard mage’s robe. Furthermore, you still have your eldritch boot along with your guidebook. You have also acquired the trait Simplified Resurrection. Whenever you attempt to raise undead in a place where there is more than one corpse, you only need to perform one roll for the group as a whole rather than having to roll for each corpse individually. However, once you raise undead on a given group of undead, this trait does not trigger for the same group again, meaning if you couldn’t summon a whole group in one go, you’ll have to summon each skeleton/zombie individually should you choose to do so.

You now find yourself standing in a chapel-like building standing on a small stairway going down into the ground. The tile seems to be stained with dried-up blood and bits of dirt. At the far end of the building, where you see a rather primitively designed stained-glass window, you see a purple-haired elf woman wearing some sort of lab coat. In front of her, you see a row of kobold, shrumen, and dwarven corpses strapped down on a row of inclined, dentist-like seats. Behind each seat, you see a long metal rod going up to the roof, which then connect and continue on higher up the building. You also see large metal pipes going down into the lower levels, passing along in front of you. Somewhat behind you to your right, you see a large entrance, guarded by two iron golems.

The MAD SCIENTIST woman then pulls down on a lever, and you see the rod structures start glowing hot. Furthermore, the corpses start spasming uncontrollably.

She then turns around. You now see that she is holding some sort of clipboard, and she seems to be wearing some sort of safety glasses. You also can’t help but notice she seems to have two extra sets of arms under her lab coat.

She looks up at you, “Vat is zis? Does someone dare interrupt my experiments? GUARDS! SEIZEN SIE ZIS DAS INTRUDER!”

Four statues, which have been standing along the sides of the hall, then begin moving. They start marching towards you. Their right arms fall off, revealing some sort of metal rod with a ball at the end of it and three sets of metal rings, sort of what typical sci-fi blasters look like. Bluish energy begins to gather around them.

BC The Entity (5): You ask whether the orcs have gleaned any new information from the pillar. One of the shamans says they’re still in the process of trying to translate the thing. After about a second, you hear one of the orcs mutter something incomprehensible. His eyes then start glowing green, though after some time they return back to normal.

“Eureka!” he says. You then see him start writing something down in the Ixali language in the dirt. Many of the other orcs start gathering around it, and then you start hearing them chant in unison. Their eyes start glowing green but then return to normal. One of them reaches his hands out in front, and shortly after, you see a vine sprout out of the ground. One of the other orcs wanders off and retrieves some sort of bronze tiara glowing some sort of silver color.

Seeing as there’s nothing else to do here, you gather up the orcs and return to the surface. The unicorn tentacle things seem to remain where you last saw them, but they still seem to be displaying a yellowish color on the map.

One of the orc spearmen pulls out his anti-ocatrine spear and plunges it into one of the petrified unicorn tentacles. The tentacle begins to disintegrate on impact, dissolving into a faint, whitish mist.

Jondanger 23 (4,2): You rush in, barreling past the orangutans, whip out your wrench, and try attacking the black spire. After your first strike, you see a crack form on the spire. You try making a second attack, but your wrench goes flying out into the water. The orangutans start gathering around you, making angry shrieks.
Black Mage Anolis (3->4): You step inside and sit on a glittery, silver chair. After speaking, you have a brief look around the room. Right next to the door seems to be a hat-stand. A pair of windows look out into the outside world. Most of the floor seems to be made of wood, though there is a roundish carpet in the middle. A doorway to your right goes into some sort of kitchen area, where you smell the faint scent of gingerbread. There is a closet on the left side of the room. Behind you, opposite the main entrance, there seems to be a large portrait of the Tingle-dressed man. It seems to be smiling. Aside from the faint clangs of pots and pans, the room seems to have gone eerily silent. Something tells you you shouldn’t linger here for too long.
Yoloisfox (4): “Great,” the explorer says, “follow me!”

The midget begins walking along the cliff and eventually stumbles upon a path going down it. You follow her down this path. Eventually, she leads you to the cupcake village below, where a number of one-foot tall midgets are gathered. She walks up to one of them and chainsaws them in half.

“Wonderful! Now you too must prove your worth! Purge the lands of these primitive savages and drink their blood and souls! Hooray!”

The various midgets start fleeing and floating away in panic, screaming all the way.

Moocow (6): You approach the orc village and ask one of the villagers where the nearest temple of Cathari is. Said orc backs off and turns to the other villagers. Off in the distance, you see a monkey with pitch black eyes jumping up and down, making a commotion. It seems to be pointing off in a northward direction. It then runs off. The orcs slowly gather around you, murmuring to themselves.

An elderly-looking shaman character steps forth and then points at you. “WIIIIITCH!!!”

All the other orcs start shouting variants of “Kill the Witch!” and pull out various tools with which to hack you to pieces.

Alright, that works out well for everyone. We're now vinemancers or what have you. So... if we have petrified unicorn tentacles, and they're all displaying as yellow on the map, I'd assume they're linked to something. I make a start on using... some sort of anti-octarine acid shot, I suppose, on each of the tentacles, at the same time double-checking on the map to make sure I'm not missing anything huge right below us or something. There's every possibility the tentacles are just ground tentacles, but I want to ascertain whether that's actually the case before we all get murdered horribly.

Roll To Dodge: Savral Turn 169

First time posts for this session require you to state a race and class of a Dnd/Fantasy RPG variety. This is an RTD with some continuity and I want to make sure you don't show up with space-themed stuff when that doesn't fit with the general theme. I also recommend reading through my previous posts to get a sense of how I run things and some of the things you don't want to do. You'll also get a sense of the stuff that's going on by doing so.

Blackie (4): You are now a claw-handed human barbarian. You come wielding a large axe. As usual, you come with relatively basic supplies. You have also gained the trait Skirmisher I, which allows you to make one free action per initiative in combat.

You find yourself back in your dirt house, with the chicken still looking at you. You once again hear mooing coming from underneath the floor. You scream.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Moocow (5): You charge a lightning bolt and shoot it at one of the orcs. It chains over to one of his brethren nearby. After seeing this display of magic, the orcs begin to run away.
Black Mage Anolis (1->2): You try asking for some food, but you receive no response. Maybe you should try finding where the two are, though leaving this place wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
Kilgore Trout (5):    GODDAMMIT! I WAS HOPING THAT YOU’D GET A ONE OR A TWO OR A SIX OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT! UGH! I’d use my roll changing thingy but that wouldn’t be fair right now. Grrr…

You then proceed to heal yourself using your healing magic. The hammer pulls out of your body and your wounds seal up. During this, the ghost dwarves and skeletons stand back. You consider praying to Cathy, but you don’t think that would be a good idea right now, especially since she wants to see you lose control of your bowels.

Philsopher (2); The Witch Schierke {(3->4,)(2,1)}: You try shifting into the MAD SCIENTIST’s form, but for some reason you are unable to do so. The MAD SCIENTIST reaches out an arm, and you see a flash of purplish energy connect from her palm to one of the stone golems. A sort of metallic armor forms on top of it, and its coil grows more elaborate. You also see a fairly large metallic pack form on its back. Once the statues’ weapons finish charging, you see four flashes of lightning before you are electrocuted entirely.    You died.    Re…

You now find yourself lying on some sort of bench. Your weapons now seem to be missing, and there now seems to be some sort of apparatus strapped to your head, and you are belted down by your arms and legs. There also seems to be a number of needles, connecting you to some large machine. You see a set of tools lying on a table a few feet to your right, and a glowing orb hovers overhead. A greenish curtain conceals the rest of the area from view. At the moment, you don’t see any signs of the MAD SCIENTIST.

BC The Entity (1): You begin wandering around, preparing to use an anti-octarine acid shot. Your group manages to get rid of about three more tentacles lying about the area as you prepare your spell. Just as you’re about to fire it, the blast turns octarine in your hand. You fire it. When the blast connects to one of the unicorn husks, it starts coming back to life. When you look back at your map orb, it starts glitching for some reason, and yellow starts appearing all over the map.

   KYAHAHAHAHA!!! EYAHAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!

You then hear a blade cleave through one of the orc shamans behind you. When you turn around, you see Louise floating up in the air, holding her oversized scythe in hand.

“Tuturu~! Hiya BC! I’m back! I’m going to eat you up right now, K? KYAHAHAHA!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

You see the orcs start backing away, shivering in fear. You also see the tentacle begin rising up over you. The Witch Louise has reappeared. Cathy isn’t sure whether you are strong enough to fight her at this point.

Undying Phoenix (6,   4   ): You open the book again and try to summon a SPESS MEHREEN. A magical circle appears in front of you, glowing a light purplish hue. A few seconds later, you see four infested marines plop out of it. They aim their guns at you.
Cybersbe (3): You place your hand in the indentation. You see a series of yellow lines glow from the pedestal. The floor begins to rise underneath you. After about half a minute, the floor becomes level with the glowing light above, where you now see a tunnel. You begin walking through it. Eventually, the tunnel leads to a dead end, closed off by a stone wall, but as you approach it, the wall lifts up, leading you into some sort of shrine-like area. In the middle of this chamber, you see a single metal altar-like structure with a golden crescent on top and a number of inscriptions on it. An unlit forge sits on the left side of the room, with a number of pokers and other tools resting alongside the wall. There also seems to be chunks of ore gathered on the right side of the room, along with a few scrolls. You see a small tunnel leading into another chamber on the opposite end of the room, but it’s too dark for you to see in.
Jondanger 23 (6): You smash the crystal orb on one of the orangutan’s heads, cracking its skull open. The orb shatters, and you see a mist of octarine energy begin flowing out of it. You begin to run, jumping over the gang of orangutans. You travel deep into the jungle as the rest of the monkeys give chase. Eventually you seem to have lost them, but after taking a few steps more, you see a ghostly image of the manslave from before. He seems to be smiling, with his head slightly tilted to the left. His legs now seem to be a cloudy wisp. His hands begin glowing with energy, and he reaches them out toward you. You have encountered Aspect of BC The Manslave.

@BC: Your character encountered Louise on turns 142 and 143, and her description is written there. She's the one you encountered while tagging along with Marisa and she basically one-shotted her. It's kinda implied that she's a unicorn that's ascended into a human form, and was the thing that devastated the Sfali countryside during Space Phantom's playthrough. Also, she's been absorbing player characters and has been absorbing their traits and abilities, specifically Rhyme and Treason, Kayne, and Cybersbe. It's also kinda implied that the humanoid form you're seeing isn't her true/full form, as shown in Brah and Cybersbe's encounters with her. So, basically, she's kinda dangerous, in case the whole map glitching thing wasn't obvious.
