I must say, though, while I haven't played the game myself, I do rather like 9-3, Memory Sign "Brain Fingerprint" and 9-6, "Embryo's Dream", as spellcards. (Though I do wonder what the subconscious dream Koishi is showing in the latter one is actually like...)
I also like the concept of 9-7 (Satori recollecting the player's worst nightmare-spellcard), as much of an absolute pain the card itself is...
I'm just glad that SA!Satori doesn't pull off a full-power version of Philosopher's Stone. Dear gog, that card is a flustercuck.
'twas brillig."Brain Fingerprint" is a pretty entertaining spellcard and "Embryo's dream"'s ridiculously tiny danmaku also make it quite unique...if a bit annoying...Worse than dried cucumbers too.
Anyway, thanks for that suggestion! Tried it, got it in a couple of tries! And now that you mention, I'm guessing I'm going to employ the same strategy on Sakuya now...
EDIT:Well, that was an utter failure. Turns out I have to shoot her when she's moving, not when she's busy throwing knives...sigh...why do I even bother with common sense?

Think I'd of been able to 1CC MS if I hadn't failed horribly on the first half of the fight with the twins. Though Shinki-sama scares the hell out of me. Why people claim she's easier than Yumeko I'll never know
THE FIRST THREE BOSSES OF MOUNTAIN OF FAITH ARE THE EASIEST TOUHOU BOSSES IN FUCKING HISTORY, WHY DO I KEEP LOSING LIVES TO THEM
WHY DID I JUST LOSE TWO OR THREE LIVES ON NITORI, SHE'S SO FUCKING EASY THAT A BABY COULD BEAT HER PERFECTLY
I WANT TO LET MYSELF USE CONTINUES TO GET THROUGH THESE GAMES BUT I KEEP LOSING MY SHIT BECAUSE OF STUPID BULLSHIT DEATHS ON THE FIRST THREE LEVELS THAT I USED TO BE ABLE TO GET THROUGH PERFECTLY AND NOW I CAN'T BECAUSE I SUCK
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WHO IS THIS LOSERCALM THE HELL DOWN
SHIT HAPPENS
DEAL WITH IT
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowYay! Hyperbole that forgets the fact that Minoriko and Hina are horrible monsters!

'twas brillig. How the hell are they monsters? I used to be able to beat them both capturing every single spellcard without losing a single life. There is no way they can ever be considered hard if I can, OR AT LEAST USED TO BE ABLE TO, do that.
WHO IS THIS LOSERHow is Nitori easy? I still can't do Kappa's Porocora reliably, or Monster Cucumber.
I have a message from another time...Because I can, or at least used to be able to, beat her with little to no resources. I don't know how to explain it any better than an absolute idiot like me being able to do it. Look at me, I can't even beat these goddamn games with continues, and yet I can get past Nitori with no problem. Obviously she must be the easiest boss since Rumia.
WHO IS THIS LOSERMinoriko is on the hard side for a stage 1 boss, Hina is harder than some stage 3 bosses, and Nitori is about average for her stage. Mountain of Faith starts out a lot harder than most of the others; it's reputation for being one of the easier games comes from the fact that the endgame isn't too bad
That's stupid and wrong. Minoriko is barely even an afterthought, Hina is easier than most stage 1 bosses, Nitori is basically nothing, and then stage 4 happens. By then I've already lost plenty of lives because I'm fucking stupid anyway, but even when I do get to stage 4 with as many lives as I can muster I get wrecked. I've gotten to stage 5 all of once. Don't fucking tell me the endgame is easy and the early game is hard when it's completely ass-backwards.
Lying-ass Touhou fans.
WHO IS THIS LOSERBut you're a touhou fan.
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowI've always thought Hina was pretty easy. Of the Windows games, I'd call her the second easiest 2nd stage boss after Mystia. Of course that depends a bit on how well you can handle Mystia's darkness thing.
Edit: Certainly not easier than any stage 1 though.

Hina is not easier than stage 1 bosses. Do you know just how many times Broken Amulet has wrecked me?
I have a message from another time...I've personally given up on trying to say which Stage X boss is the easiest/hardest or easier/harder, as I've decided it depends on the difficulty level, character chosen, and strengths and weaknesses of individual players. Same for whether a game's Stage X boss is easier/harder than its Stage X+1 boss.

There's some circular logic going on in here.

And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!Can I have some IN advice for the nonspellcard side of Keine? Her patterns keep raping my lives. In fact I have gotten so good I don't lose any live until Keine then I lose all or most of them leaving me with jack shit to handle Marisa/Reimu.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Kill her familiars with the Human-style shots. I cannot stress this enough.
I have a message from another time...MS 1CC get! Screwed up on Mai instead this time, and beat the game with no lives or bombs, but still, the good end and access to the EX stage are mine
Definitely harder than LLS, but still rather easier than any of the Windows games
Which is odd because I can reliably capture Patchy's version of Philosopher's Stone. I haven't yet captured Normal mode version of Satori's replication.
It may be the different shapes of the bullets. Knife bullets for Metal was inspired.
I have a message from another time...Well, I must say, that runthrough of IN Easy Modo Scarlet Team went bad. Lost lives all over the place to Reimu. Note to self: unfocus-focusing to reset Remilia's familiars is a bad idea when yin-yang orbs are flying around the screen. Plant them somewhere and keep them there.
The annoying thing about Reimu's third and fourth nonspells (the ones where she flies about and fires stuff occasionally from two different spots) is that, if your rhythm gets messed up and you stop moving to keep under her when she fires, you end up on the opposite side, she fires an angled shot, and it's much harder to dodge.
Made a runthrough of Stage 4 in Practice Mode, which went much better. Bombed through much of the stage portion since I wasn't as worried about that, and as for Reimu herself, I only had to use a Last Spell on her final card (it's not that hard; I just need better movement control). The rest of the fight pretty much went perfectly. Including her homing amulet spell. (Yay for streaming!)
Now to do it in an actual run sometime...
Good news I manage to clear stage 3 normal with no deaths. almost cleared Keine's last spell too. All it took was gratuitous bombing on her last nonspellcard phase.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.
@hassanico I think the only scene in Stage 9 of DS that could be construed as relatively easy is Camera Shy Rose, which brings back the oh so wonderful jumping out of the shot that Sakuya exhibited back in St B minus the time freezing.
