Personally, I think the in game version is a bit better, but eh.

EDIT: And yes, I am going out of my way to not just link OMEGA and be done with it. I think OMEGA is the track most people know about.

Also, the arranged version of Hallucination is pretty nice.

...Oh, for context, Hallucination is the overworld theme for Makai, Ex-Convict is I think one of the shop themes (I want to say armory?) and OMEGA is the final boss theme.

I could get lost in this one. I am probably going to be just posting the arranged soundtrack versions, as aside from Hallucination and I think OMEGA, I can't find the in game versions that aren't part of gameplay videos. But they are great.

Sorry to take the discussion off SMT 4, but just a quick Nocturne question - does the Pierce skill only apply to your physical attacks, or does it "pierce" an enemy (like a status debuff) so that everyone's physical attacks bypass their defenses?

This is so I can decide on whether to spend 250,000 macca on the 5th Kalpa Girimehkala.

its a self-applied passive that only affects the demon's attacks. (or yours if you learn it)

and no, not even close to worth it.

edit: that being said...in the 5th kalpa you can repeatedly make that much money in under 5 minutes.

Tarsen is talking non-sense again, it's totally worth it if you are going to fight Lucifer.

And yes, all physical attacks pierce any defense that is not repel.

I really liked Nocturne. Hell, the game starts with the death of all life on the planet. And the pre-boss theme kicks ass.

well yeah, but you got the first magatama for that, you dont need to spend 250,000 macca on it. at least, not before you get to the last macca tunnel.

Well I got about 700,000 macca at the moment, so I guess I can spare 250k plus a bit more in summoning costs. I'm not planning on fusing many more demons, since most of the ones that I have already are pretty useful, so I won't be spending the money on much else.

Fuck, just entered the Tower of Kagutsuchi without realising it would affect TDE. Does this mean the Lucifer fight is out of the window?

yeah. /had the same thing happen

but you can still go and fight metatron, unlocking him for the 2nd playthrough. have meta fight meta. tron.

Oh well, there's always the 2nd playthrough I suppose. Guess I'll just summon demons like Beelzebub and Metatron and blast through it until end-game.
