Apparently said SMT4 related thing is a new game called Shin Megami Tensei IV Final. Looks like a new thing yet takes place in the SMT 4-verse?

Kinda confused why they did that instead of calling it SMTV, frankly.

One of the pictures features a blonde-haired girl wearing green shades and is dressed in red. Do you think that's supposed to be Nozomi?

It looks like the game is for the Nintendo 3DS as well. Nice. Can't wait to see what new information comes out.

Looks like it's time to finish my neutral play through!

I also thought about Nozomi the moment I saw her. I also thought about Navarre when I saw the ghost-y thing.

Prequel? Side-story? Apparently "Godslayer" is a keyword involved with this.

I can just see that fairy...thing sticking around being obnoxious the entire game to make up for how Navarre was ultimately just an Advertised Extra.

So is this going to be a prequel or a Rashomon-style story? I can see Merkabah in the promo art, and that woman's definitely Nozomi (pls don't make us fight Asura with her again). Though the base game itself already allowed for alternate universes, so I suppose we'll see. Anyway, this was a pleasant surprise, and I hope this has just as much content as the original did.

I hope they do another cross promotion with the new Fire Emblem game so I can get the sixth Ace Attorney game for free again

That fairy thing looks like the unholy offspring of Navarre and Nemechi from Soul Hackers.

Also, over the brown guy's shoulder is what is almost certainly Adramelech, with a goat head and peacock feathers.

Nemechi was based on Nemissa though.

As for Navarre he likely won't be as bad as he was in the game considering how the mangas showed him as a perfectly decent human being. It's like Flynns existence brings out the worse in him.

The ever-cynical Eirikr, of course, thinks the game's probably going to be some lame little thing that exists just to cover the P5 delay.

In other news, Makarakarn + Judgment = ded Shemyaza. He never even hit me.

I think that was a joke, not a direct translation.

It's not because the other descriptions for the angels is accurate.

You shouldn't be surprised considering that the game includes five Jack Frosts based on different flavors of Shaved Ice. As a Sentai team no less.

Speaking of YHVH, I'm wondering if Final might feature Him. It's said that the word of the day, as it were, is "Deicide," and since you technically do that many times over in a typical SMT game I don't see why they'd emphasize it unless capital-G God was involved.

I find it odd that it took almost eighteen years for the Frost Five to appear in another game. The individual Frosts that comprise it at least appeared in the GBC card game before then!

x2 Clearly we'll get to kill the Great Will. I mean we already did it to its expy Canopus in De Su 2 so why not finally do it to the original?

Of course, the big question is not whether or not we get to fight YHVH. The big question is whether or not this fight will put him down for good...and if so, what's going to step up to take his place?
