It's been a while since I heard it. They might just be the voices of various demons and angels that are trying to convince Flynn to join them.

The whole thing is kinda noisy, so I figure that's indeed the case- Flynn's stuck in a huge crowd of figures, some of which are rambling madmen and others who wish to coax him to their side.

As a sidenote, Daniel's Beasts are really cool and would make good SMT demons.

Its just demons trying to convince him to join Law/Chaos. Lucifer and Merkabah's forms are seen as an outline before the dream ends.

One last question about fusion in SH: is there any real disadvantage to using the COMP's in-field fusion over Dr. Victor's? Victor seemed to imply his way was superior.

It's been a while since I've played the game, but I do remember Victor's method resulting in better demons. I can't recall why, however. Was it more skills passing onto the resulting demon? I'm not sure.
I believe the difference is that demons fused by the COMP won't inherit skills and it can only do a simple two demon fusion rather than the triple version Victor can.

How many routes have you played?
This is my first playthrough.
Just disheartening to think I spent so long getting a non-good ending, and to get the better one I'm risking getting the exact same one.

Eh, look on the bright side. I got the Neutral ending right away, and now I've lost all motivation to go back and see what else the game to offer. After all, I already got the "best" ending.
You got Law. Next time, you can get Chaos, which is (slightly) less crappy, and then swing right back to Neutral.
If you're a completionist, you might need to do Law one more time to get the New Game+ demons exclusive to that route. That's why several people suggest getting the Nihilist ending first, so that you can access all New Game+ content on the other three routes.
There are no NG+ Law route only demons. Mastema is a normal playthrough one. What NG+ Law quests that do exist can be done during Jonathan's route.

The only ending path with NG+ exclusive demons is Chaos because that's the only one that let's you access Infernal Tokyo.
No you can go there on Neutral as well. You just can't do the NG+ chaos quests.

Huh. Could've sworn Mastema was a New Game+ demon. Then again, I went Nihilist first, so I'm really not clear on what demons are New Game+.

When, exactly, is the first Demon Capacity increase in SH? I'm at the airport now and am still stuck with only six.

Hey, can anyone find the song that plays at the Konnou-Ya in the Raidou games?
For the life of me I can't find the name of the song, or a version of it on Youtube. It's way more awesome than it has any right to be, to be honest.
