I still need to beat the final bonus boss for the Corridor of Time, as well as complete the Compendium. I recently got my MC to level 81, so there's still a couple of levels to go before I reach 85 and can fuse the highest level demons.

Thankfully, Vision 5 of the Corridor of Time has that one treasure chest that springs three Murmurs and three Muspells at you before rewarding you with a Soma. If you go into that battle with 10 Somas, you can redo that encounter again and again, and it provides a good amount of EXP and Magnetite.

So whatever’s going on in Vengeance has lead to it being banned in Saudi Arabia I hear(unlike V and Nocturne).

I'm guessing its because the Qaditsu are Quranic figures?

The change in Vengeance besides Sahori helping her is also that Qaditsu take advantage of the situation to gather Magatsuhi from the students as Eisheth boss fight and a Japanese screenshot of Lilith says.

WHAT!? That certainly changes things, what will Sahori do next, I wonder....

Artemis's video is up. It doesn't have too many new things, but there is a scene of her saying that the Nahobino reminds her more of Iphigenia than Heracles due to his slender frame, his strong heart, and his willingness to sacrifice himself for others.

The next demon is Xiezhai.

Regarding the Sahori clip, I'm reminded of a rumor before V was released that Sahori could potentially survive and give out a sidequest or two. Of course, that rumor turned out to be false, but I wonder if the Canon of Vengeance might do something similar with Sahori.

Hm, my gut feeling is that Sahori rejecting Lahmu is going to ultimately end up a Yank the Dog's Chain scenario and she's doomed anyway.

I just want a duel with her at some point. We have to fight our friends, it's SMT.

So I recently beat Beelzebub in Devil Summoner Soul Hackers. Beating him was enough to level up my MC up to level 85, meaning I was also able to mostly complete the Demon Compendium as well (except maybe a few Zeed forms). Turns out Metatron spamming Heaven's Vengeance makes the battle go by way faster.

Bringing a fast demon who knows Makarakarn also helps to prevent Maziodyne from paralyzing your characters, since Beelzebub can use Nice Short to one-shot them.

With the Corridor of Time beaten, I can move onto New Game Plus. I'm not expecting too much, but I am kind of curious to see the bit about Spookie surviving his possession by Satanael.

Speaking of Spookie, I still get a chuckle that his name is Sakurai Masahiro, especially since there's a real life Sakurai Masahiro that quite a few gamers know due to his work on the Smash Bros. series.

Sahori rejecting Lahmu is an interesting scenario. But it's weird. It seemed like she wasn't totally on board with working with him before and he forced her at least a little (not that much since she did genuinely hate what was done to her, but also seemed freaked out by what was happening). Vengeance seems like it just have her actually find the will to fully turn away.

I'm guessing that Tao being more forceful and explicit in her support gave Sahori the willpower to reject Lahmu? I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how this particular plot beat plays out.

I always hoped Sahori would get a bigger role since she's designed as something of a foil to the protagonist. But I have a bad feeling it will still end early. We'll see though.

I'll keep my expectations low, so that if she does end up playing a bigger role in the Canon of Vengeance, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

One of the trailers does imply that Tao still ends up as a Panagia in the Canon of Vengeance, assuming it's not a case of Never Trust a Trailer. It does make me wonder if the reason for her becoming one will be because of the Qadištu rather than Lahmu.

I could never finish Soul Hackers because of the cost of moving in dungeons mechanic. I have got to the final dungeon but getting enough of the stuff to make it to the end is my problem.

Hoo boy, losing Magnetite due to summoned demons was something that caught me by surprise as well, since Soul Hackers was the first Megami Tensei game I played that used that old mechanic.

I think I ended up spending most of my time with only Zeed summoned, or not having too many demons summoned at once, and only filling up all party slots for major fights.

Playing through Soul Hackers again does make me hope that we'll see some of its lesser-used demons show up in Vengeance.

Yeah, you have Nemissa and a Zoma, there's not much reason to burn your magnetite carelessly. Also talking to the same demons you've recruited has them give out a pretty solid amount of the stuff, so for me, gathering it wasn't ever a big deal. Plus you can convert it from money too.

My problem is that I need both, money for better equipment and for magnetite as well as magnetite for exploration to get more money and fight demons to level up. It is basically a catch 22 dilemma.

I think the best advice I can give is to figure out if you can handle the random encounters without the aid of non-Zeed demons so you can gather Magnetite without worrying about losing some with every step you take. If not, try to have as few demons in your party as possible to minimize the Magnetite drop while still being able to handle the random encounters without much issue.

If you're short on yen, I saw this advice online:

Go to the casino and buy some Missing Ink Paintings or Sharaku's Ukiyo-e; each one costs around 100 coins or so. These gifts sell for about 10,000 yen, which you can use to buy more coins to get more Paintings and Ukiyo-e to sell.

Remember there was a method to easily grind Magnetite, but it’s been so long since I picked up the game I can’t really remember where.
