The Lich turned to Ravage. "Drinking is never good; you just forget for some time. Try solving your problems in-stead. Also, don't try messing with me; you've seen what I did to that flower-spirit, did you not?" his snake head turned towards Bowser and Yuuka. "Fun..." it hissed.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground-Eddie watched the fight-
"Huh. Maybe they'll kill each other and we'll have two less psychos to deal with."
Mal-Keshar turned to Eddie. "Who are you, exactly?" he hissed, and red spots of light appeared in his eye-sockets.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground"I'm Eddie Riggs, roadie. And you must be Skeletor."
"The name's Mal-Keshar, thank-you-very-much. What's a roadie?"
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground"A roadie is... pretty much everything other than a band member. Roadies are tour managers, production managers, stage managers, engineers, guitar techs, bass techs, drum techs, keyboard techs, lighting techs, pyrotechnic techs, security, caterers... basically, we get things done."
Mal-Keshar stared quizzically at him. "You're a musician?"
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground"That too. So what are you supposed to be?"
"I am a Lich - other words, I am a Necromancer who killed himself and bound his Soul to his body." he indicates his body. "Not that this body's mine; I doubt there's a bone in it that is from my original body. I also animate dead creatures for a living."
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundHe'd make a great album cover...
Ravage, having departed for his own room, was in no position to hear Mal-Keshar's not-so-subtle threat...not that the Predacon would have cared if he had. Taking a moment to ascertain that his door was locked, the panther then padded over to the CR chamber and immersed himself in its fluids, lost in thought as the reparative nanites within went to work.
Blast it all, my gears are wound too tight; when was the last time I had a chance to recharge that wasn't in that ludicrous challenge?
Though the question had been rhetorical, his onboard computer answered him anyway.
UNCERTAIN. INTERNAL CHRONOMETERS CORRUPTED; IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPUTE EXACT AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT IN THIS LOCATION.
Ravage sighed, blinking slightly. His vision was starting to get a little blurry, and he found it difficult to concentrate; perhaps some rest would do him good. The Predacon arose from his tank and padded over to the mirror, examining himself with disapproval. What a mess...you would never compute that I was an agent of the Tripredacus Council with this dishevelled body. Perhaps—
Something huge and utterly monstrous appeared in the reflection, just over his shoulder. With a snarl it lunged at him, hideous jaws opening wide; Ravage's eyes widened in alarm and he whirled, drawing his blaster.
There was nothing there...although the Predacon could swear that he heard a heavily distorted and altogether unsettling sound, not unlike a human female chuckling faintly in amusement, at the very edge of his hearing.
"Who's there?" he demanded. "Show yourself!"
There was no answer.

The Danse Macabre CodexBlink looked up, and, unlike many of the other times she'd been completely oblivious to surrounding events, saw what seemed to be the end of the fight between Bowser and Yuuka. With a sudden look of anger, she teleported in front of the spinning, whirling mass of spines.
And then, Blink waved her finger like she was admonishing a small child.
"Fighting's not a good idea!" she said, oblivious to the creeping vines behind her. "'Cause from what I heard, these challenges are hard and stuff, and if you fight, you might be tired and injured for the challenges, and that won't be good at all!"
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Craft groaned.
"Can we go five minutes without fighting?" he asked (though it was mostly a thought spoken aloud).
Locking you up on radar since '09"'Twould seem that the answer to that is a flat no." said the Lich's snake head.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundWell Doctor Freeman, what did that tell you?
"So the portal signatures are different for each portal while sharing a certain set of digits. They also each have a unique digit..." Gordon looked away for a moment and jotted a few things down on his notes. "Which means that the unique number is tied to the nomad that produces the portal."
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Ravage spent the next few kliks scanning his room, turning what little furnishings it held upside down as he meticulously examined every last micron of the chamber.
Nothing; no evidence to suggest that the strange thing which had just attacked him was ever here. No footprints, no shed epidermal tissue, no hair follicles, no metal shavings of CNA to analyze...
Perhaps I'm just over tired, the Predacon mused half-sparkedly. Yes, maybe my fatigue is causing my sensors to play tricks on me...
Ravage stalked over to a socketed compartment in the far wall and stepped inside, allowing small plugs to interface with his body.
"Repair mode," he muttered, and his optics went dark as his systems all powered down for sleep.
In his dreams, the slumbering jaguar hung suspended in darkness, a featureless space void of colour, sound or sensation. To say that not much happened in the Predacon's dreams was an understatement. The Danse Macabre Codex
-On a distant world, Sterling was following Tetsukamu down into his hidden lair. Abruptly she heard a sudden burst of sound which cuts out a second later. She shakes her head, and follows the gargantuan coach-

"I don't take orders from kids, I know what I'm doing. Now move it."
The vines were still too far from Bowser or where Yuka's 'body' lay, but the circle was now half the size it was before.
"And besides, I've fought worse. I'm just getting warmed up."

To be seen, stand up To be heard, speak up To be appreciated, shut upMal-Keshar turned to Bowser. "Need help, lizard?"
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundBlink shook her head, refusing to move.
"No! We'll probably need everybody in these challenge thingies, right? We can't have eveyone injured!" she replied.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Who cares? We die, we pop back here. That seems to be the logic of this world." Narumi said to Blink.
"Should we maybe, like...try to stop the dinosaur and the flower chick from killing each other? Because me and Ravage were playing but they seem pretty serious, and I'm honestly starting to get a little scared about them flinging powers around that wantonly."
Easing back into life one step at a time"Should I do that? I am a pretty good mage, after all."

Instead of any semblance of dodging, Yuuka simply floated nonchalantly, her body wreathed in flames.
Bowser's spiky shell took Yuuka like a ragdoll to a fan - Flesh all over her rent asunder, blood, muscle sent splattering the walls, bones cracking and splitting. She was sent flying high into the chamber and crashed down only meters away. She lay limp there, frying in the fire that somehow hasn't gone out yet.
The vines crept ever closer...
