It's not that they couldn't ever. It's that there isn't an opening for one. They would need to find their sea legs while competing with the billion-dollar juggernaut that is the MCU.

The deck is stacked against any up-and-coming franchise trying to take the spotlight using the MCU's business model.

The MCU is Starbucks and the others are mom-and-pop coffee shops. They might have a few fans here and there, but they're never going to be Starbucks so long as Starbucks is in business. Starbucks has been too successful for far too long to be brought down by some upstart fledgling coffee shop; it would need to fail on its own, vacating its spot, before anyone else is going to have a shot.

I looked up Mo S's numbers on IMBD and the overall audience response was comparable to Iron Man's so there's at least a base that's just as strong to build on.

I believe there's a few chains that easily outcompete Starbucks in the UK. Can't recall the name, but they were everywhere. Costa, I think.

Costa and Caffe Nero are the ones that come to mind.

OT: Yeah, the MCU's not going anywhere even if they make a flop somewhere down the line. It'd take an entire 'phase' bombing to kill the MCU at this point.

To further the Metaphor, you know how people are always complaining that there are too many Starbucks and they wish they had more choices? Well now imagine that those mom and pop stores had huge corporate backers.

Hey there kids! Remember that guy who wrote that gods damned article about how being a hipster meant he really was better than us?

Well he's back to tell us that he was trolling us for cash. Not that that means he wasn't a hipster. No he makes it very clear that he is.

Looks like Cracked's only problem with trolls is that they do it for the love of the game and not for cash.

This guy has only written two articles though. I'm thinking this is Cracked's way of saying "look who could be writing for us on a regular basis. Stop complaining about the 'clickbait' articles already."

And it's ridiculously short too. Seriously, I'm pretty sure there are article with more lines in a single entry.

I'm mostly feeling pity for him though. He's made very clear that trolling is his only skill, and he's not even good at it. That article was mostly baffling, mildly irritating, when it should have been infuriating.

And I don't mind giving him money indirectly either. It's not coming from my own pocket, and with all his bragging about being so much better-off than us he sounds like he could use the coin.

It's like Tucker Max mated with Blake from Glengarry Glenn Ross.

I realize this is a troll, but he walks a tightrope of "avoiding" Irish stereotyping with the New England crack. Yeah, we Irish are pretty douchey but we don't cackle at homeless people from our Cadillacs.

As is the fact that beating up Harley Quinn is "villainous." I mean I haven't played the Arkham games, but I assume she stated the fight,or was running from the law or something.
