I saw the comments in the morning. The top rated ones at least were great. It is a shame they're choosing which articles to allow comments on, though. Cracked has a tendency to get echo chamber-y as it is.

Consider it a case of Why We Can't Have Nice Things. They want people to tell some really serious stories there, not give assholes yet another platform to shout abuse.

A bit late but to a post a page back:
Also sucks about the comment sections. They could be really great to read sometimes.
Also some things like the harassment of women and men kind of need an echo chamber. There should be no "oh let's play devil's advocate on this guy who got raped!"
Read my stories! That depends on what level of the issue we're dealing with.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I really liked the article, and feel it's something that Cracked has seriously needed to do for some time now. A lot of their articles of late have painted a very one-sided picture of them, especially when it comes to MR As, which have become something of a recurring punchline for the site. Articles like this make the "there should be no sides" declaration much more sincere, if you get what I mean.
...Speaking of MR As, I, eternal masochist that I am, opened up Sargent's blog "tackling" the subject. I now really want to sock Sargent right in the jaw.
I more want to sock the guy that wrote the article that shit on men's issues by just dismissing them with "but women have it worse so you can't have problems!" over and over again.
@Parable - Hmm, that's fair, I suppose.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Honestly Cracked's feminist stance is refreshing. Cracked reaches a lot of people and the fact that they're pointing out the negative stuff that piles onto oppressed individuals is pretty important. They've covered racism, sexism, toxic masculinity, and all other assorted things.
Read my stories! When they're not going off the far end, that is.

That article was so horrible, it has like a zero percent approval rating down in the comments and the one dude defending it got buried under downvotes.
Except for the writers. They took the dislike as proof of their edgy proggresiveness.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Title guy screwed the pooch this morning(click, URL and actual title are differnt):
http://www.cracked.com/article_22018_7-incredibly-deadly-disasters-everybody-somehow-survived.html
Not only did he make the old research failure of thinking immortals are called Highlanders, but considering you have behead one to kill them, they'd survive any of that pretty easy(Duncan actually survived being in a bomb-rigged car when it went up in one episode)

It's fine in the article, but messed up on the main page. For the record, said title on the main page is "7 Disasters Everyone Survived (That a Highlander Wouldn't)".
Title guy is really fucking up today. Look at "5 Kids Shows That Would've Caused the Apocolpyse" and "5 Things I Endured As a Legal Brothel Worker". Compare and constrast the actual titles.

Unfortunately that's a part of the double edged sword that is Freedom of Speech on the internet. While it does allow for enlightened debate and the free exchange of information it also allows the gurning chimps to beat their chests and fling their proverbial feces at everyone. It also gives cranks a soapbox to spout off stupidity that would normally get them laughed off the street corner.
"If everybody is thinking alike, somebody isn't thinking"- George S. PattonThat, all of it.
http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-great-kids-show-technologies-for-taking-over-world_p2/ I'm surprised Toopy And Binoo aren't on there with there magic wand that apparently comes in cereal boxes that seems to be able to do everything, though it's only in one episode and they seem to have Reality Warping powers in general, in that show, so it might just be Toopy managing to change things with the wand via his magic it's actually kind of unclear I guess.
Yes I do have a 3 year old nephew and a one and a half year old niece why do you ask?
I really liked that male rape article, especially the last entry. I think a lot of people on both sides of the feminist/MRA split could learn a lot from that... That said, I can definitely see why they disabled comments on it since the last thing this subject needs is some dickhead trying to badmouth a rape victim because of his gender.
When you really think about it, it's odd that this and that "men have no right to complain about their wives beating them because more women are abused than men" crap came from the same website.

When did they say that? Got a link?
Read my stories!I'm guessing Midna means this article. No opinions towards it myself as I haven't found the time to really read through it, but I remember it caused a shit-storm when it first came out, with half the readers loving it and the other half absolutely hating it.
Put me in the hate that camp.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah, it pretty had the nasty tone of "women have it worse, so just suck it up and deal with it" towards men's issues(even quite serious ones like the double standard on domestic abuse).

I can't be the only one who read the satire in that. It seemed to amount to "If we fix the problems that feminists are trying to fix, men and women benefit" I didn't see it as telling men to "deal with it" at all.

Sometimes I have a bad day and feel that's a pretty good summary of the world.
