Curious to ask, what in particular, if it is the true ending? I think it's plausible to this.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. And then chapter 200 came out.
In which Yokoya says 'eh, fuck it. I'll just help maintain the stalemate to spite LGT.' and then LGT says 'eh, fuck it. We'll just declare the game over and nullify all of the debts just cause.'
So, I mean, that's pretty stupid.
Told you that happened. (Well, if you read my previous spoiler anyway)
Oh yeah, to add to my other thing, Nao is essentially an Ensemble Dark Horse for the entire Liar Game TV show and that's why they kept commenting on her potential and the thing they weren't expecting. She was just meant to be a way to rope Akiyama in, not the force she became.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.I just read the ending. It... certainly wasn't what I was expecting. I'm not sure how to feel about it yet.
Do I smell a possible sequel?
Yeah, I just saw the ending myself from actually reading the Raws as opposed to what I was reading from someone who had up until this point been pretty reliable. Wow, the previous info I got was far off. And sadly made WAY more sense than this one. So Liar Game is just part of an even deeper conspiracy? Wha...?

Improving as an author, one video at a time. What is this I don't even.
I mean, don't get me wrong: I like the turn in genre. The game itself obviously had kind of worn down. But this twist is just so stupid.
Eh, chapter 201 proved those spoilers partly wrong, it isn't reality show, its a documentary. Attempt 2.
And then the series apparently ends on DUN DUN DUN GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP cliffhanger
Anyhoo, I find it funny that reason why Yoyoya(or whatever it was) gives up and helps protagonists is because he wants to go down with more dignity than Hitler did

Man, now I'm imaging Yo-yo-Ma as the antagonist of Liar Game.
Huh. The ending does paper over some of the plot holes but I don't know how to feel about it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat really did feel like an abrupt kill. I suppose the author really did get tired of the series...
At least they manage to make more plausible the way Yokoya found out about the book the game was based on. His father, as a former participant, likely wanted to own a copy of the book out of sentimentality.
... Okay, yeah, that part is Fridge Brilliance.
In fact, Yokoya's father being part of the game explains their logistical capabilities.

All the shitstorm the ending generated got me interested. Wasn't even subtle about it, with Tank Man running around and a second generation ABC with a Communist repression background.
I am reading this when I got the time.
Was that supposed to be a surprise?
I mean, I guessed long ago in earlier chapters that one of masked guys is probably his dad <_<
Yeah, but you're Spooky Mask: you have an unfair advantage!
To alert those in here that might be interested, the online version of Liar Game tournament is set to happen again now. Registration is going on right now.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. That site is very interesting. Since I read the manga I've always wondered if there was a way to actually play this kind of games.
I like some of that and dislike other bits.
