Anyone can make a page about any work. We have no way to substantiate or disprove that the person starting the page is the author, even if they so claim. Nor does it matter. The page becomes open to editing by anyone and is not to be used for author proclamations anyway.

Dont we have some guidelines for this sort of thing somewhere?

I thought the only guidelines in that regard were about not self-hyping fan fiction.

Also, as I messaged the OP, there is a thread in the FAQ section here about whether you can make a page on your own work.

Hi!
So I am a long time lurker of TV Tropes, on another account I created the page for an old manga called Neko Ramen and I recently got published. First issue of a four-issue comic book.
I'd REALLY like to make a tropes page for it, but I don't want it to sound self-indulgent or self-congratulatory. I was thinking of writing it myself, and I'm still open to the idea, but I'm nervous about what that would look like so I want to be up front about it.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to make sure I don't sound like I'm using TV Tropes to pat myself on the back?
Thanks for any input!
Also since I had to make a new account, I can't post the link to the comic for those interested in checking it out. If you're interested, look up The Dolridge Sacrament on Comixology. Thanks!
