Dio got Jonathan's body.
Kars got the Mask.
...Kira had a chance at a peaceful life, holy crap.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Demonic page-toppers, yay!
And we've had a fair share of villains who didn't get what they wanted. DIO didn't get what he wanted in Part 3, he and Pucci almost got what they planned in Part 6, Diavolo didn't really manage to fully cover his tracks or get ahold of the Arrow, and Kira was doing fine, but he had to do that Evil Gloating...
... And that's called jazz!Kira got the clean slate and chance at a peaceful life that he said he wanted. But that turned out to be just words; he couldn't keep himself clean after he got away.
I guess, while there's a clear example for Dio, you'd probably have to look at Eyes of Heaven for an example with DIO in which he won at the end of Stardust Crusaders, but ultimately still caused his own downfall by continuing to overreach and aim for an even more complete victory
Speaking of Eyes of Heaven. I wonder what would've happened if, at the end of that game, they instead managed to get Jonathan to strike DIO Gone To Heaven. Would that have destroyed them both from the neck down?
I have a message from another time...Proceeding in Part 5... damn the way Giorno killed Polpo was one hell of an awesome moment.
I'm already liking the little party. For some reason I'm always fond of groups where members get along but do little jerkish things to each other (cf my avatar).
On another note, I don't know if it's the translation or if it's like that in the original, but it's rather strange to have Italian people speak in yen. >.> The French edition has the sums in lira at least, and Araki tends to do his research about this kind of things...

i take you've passed the "math problem" scene with Narancia and Fugo then?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.And the "give me Sprite" scene too.
Were the bananas two meters away from Giorno in that scene?Always seemed a bit out of range.Usual Jo Jo Tell Dont Show I guess?
Secret SignatureFinished the Zucchero battle… I've once seen someone joking that the protagonist of part 5 was Bruno rather than Giogio, and I can sort of get why here. But man, VA really has the weirdest stands I've seen so far.
edit: Hmm…◊ Reservoir Dogs, much?

i was wondering when you'd get to that scene.
when i started re-reading this, and got to the part where three teenagers are having an impromptu dance session while a man is being tortured not five feet away, it finally set in that these kids are ruthless.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Not that the previous protagonists (after Jonathan) were particularly forgiving of their enemies, but Giorno and co. are utterly ruthless. I think only Johnny really compares, he's actually more merciless since he's mostly in it for himself and doesn't really aspire to ideals like Giorno.
Just finished Green Day.
Cicciolata is one of the most shockingly horrible people in the entire series. Kind of hard to blame Giorno for that seven-page beatdown given how much of a monstrous thug he was.
Seeing him hobble around with his spinal chord in full view was one of the most unsettling moments in the entire part.
Now I have to wait for the last 3 volumes to get retranslated ):

"It ain't no Disney without no Mickey"… I'm really curious about the context of that one.
Finished the Sex Pistols fight. Stands that eat lunch, go on strike and have fights with each other. How awesome is that?
That daughter is pissing me off already.
How to better show someone's evil than by them mistreating cats?◊
I'm guessing knowing the boss' real name will be a key to defeat his stand.

Neat, this is a pretty cool mashup. (lots of Part 4 spoilers)

I have a message from another time...You'll have to wait until Part 6 for that Mickey line. XD
... And that's called jazz!Guest appearance in the comments
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Huh… I love Romi Park, but… no, just no.
Chew
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!…Pfft. Are the hands weapons or something?
Finished Aerosmith vs. Little Feet (is that from "Little Feat"…? I wonder if CR will still have to change it…) This is becoming my favorite part yet a little more. Twas quite an awesome fight. Though Narancia seems to be one of those "normally dumb but suddenly clever during fights" characters. I don't really mind.
The face in the HUD looks like a violet glowing fox.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.I LOVE watching mangaka at work. On top of being super inspiring for me as a budding artist to see the magic take place before my eyes, it's super interesting to see the thought process of the mangaka and how they get the results they do.
For example, I'd never thought about how Araki was using circle guides and technical pens for Norisuke's hair balls. It makes a lot of sense but I'd probably have never realized it if I had not seen the video.
Also interesting to see that Araki does a second pass at his pencils to make them less rough after the initial photo blue linework, some mangaka jump right in after the first one.
Would be real interested in seeing these videos translated, Araki probably mostly talks about drawing but he might also talk about some subjects that would be interesting for non-artists like what it's like to work in ultra jump, what the transition to a seinen audience has been like for him, etc.
Apparently one of the members of King Crimson started talking about Jojo on Twitter and dropped a Prison School panel edit for the "It just works" meme. I don't know what this signifies, but I'm alright living in this timeline.

King Crimson ED confirmed? ALL OF MY YES!
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!
speaking of villains, i'm a big fan of Araki's writing trend of "give the villain exactly what he wants, but the heroes beat him anyway."
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
