Really though, what I want is more of the episodes where they change up the division of the cast. Like the one where the boys dressed up as Elvis; that moment was a classic.
deviantArt | TwitterI want to see Beckett and Ryan working a case/ section of a case. it always splits up Ryan/Javi, Beckett/Castle and I really love Ryan.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writers... That ending. That letter. Just... what. Wow.
I think I really like this episode.
I loved that episode!! No Firefly reference, though :(
On that note, why didn't the ever-snarky and self-aware Castle make some kind of snark in tonight's episode?
They managed a Whole-Plot Reference to National Treasure, including the fake scream, then the treasure is rigged to trap them in with it. Wouldn't Castle note how pointless it is to design a series of clues that lead to death?
Started watching this show about a month ago. Now I'm reading Heat Wave. I can totally buy castle being the writer
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoHas ABC announced yet why they went with a re-run last night?
Speaking of reruns, I saw "Time Will Tell." Do you think the writers, in the future, will have Beckett run for office or do anything to hint at the supposed future details? Perhaps they'll play it off as having been "inspired" by his suggestions (i.e. Beckett wouldn't have considered being a politician if the guy hadn't mentioned it)?
Though I disagree with that to some extent (Namely that Beckett and Castle have moved to getting married), having Beckett change jobs would completely change the genre of the show. They'd never do it, and, if they did, they'd never survive it.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.I'd love for the series finale to imply that she's moving in that direction, but I can't see it happening in the actual lifetime of the show.
Yes, after how many seasons of UST? See also: Relationship Ceiling. And on the Topic of changing Jobs, Beckett and Espo getting fired, and her time in Washington were both hit with the reset button. I do enjoy the Show but moments like those I just mentioned are just bugging me because I know in advance it's never gonna last. (The same thing bugs me with White Collar)
When Beckett and Esposito got fired someone WMGed how they could become PI's who help out the police or something like that. And I would have liked it if Beckett had stayed in Washington for more than 3 Episodes (or was it 2?).

You lost!Yeah, I didn't think you could pull off all that stuff with string and magnets.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I wonder if they ever gonna do werewolfs.
You lost!I'm interested in watching this show, any reccomendations on how watching it?
Start from Season 1? I remember it being pretty fun back then.
Start at S1 yeah, then keep going straight; no better way to watch it than that.
deviantArt | TwitterDunno, I'd agree that start with S1 but I'm less in sync about keeping going. Not sure where's the best time to stop but at some point this series started to stink pretty bad. It still has an occasional OK episode but I'm unsure on why I keep watching other than old habits dying hard and occasionally you have to fill an hour.
I think I'd stop watching around the later part of season four or so if I had better things to do, there has been no improvement since then.
Really? I'm still enjoying the series plenty, especially the last 5 or so episodes. Really love them. Maybe that's just my crappy tastes speaking, though.
Really, last five? I have no trouble believing people might be enjoying the series more than I do, but among those five were that arsonist episode which I felt like was probably the worst they've ever made and was basically one big huge cringe and more of Castle's father which never worked and even less this time.
Castle can be entertaining still when they do one off standalone episodes, but when ever they touch anything that might resemble a meta narrative they just embarrass themselves.

Well... I have shitty tastes. I personally found both the arsonist episode and the father episode to be two of my favorite episodes ever. In fact, I might even be willing to say the arsonist episode was my favorite, period (though I really liked "Tick Tick Tick" and that one bank robbery episode).

Clearly you're some bizarro version of me.
I feel like I'm a bizarro version of pretty much everyone :(
But yeah, I just feel like they've been straying just enough outside of the usual formula with the last bunch of episodes to keep it interesting and suspenseful, but not so much that it feels unbelievable or like a totally different show.

I liked the arson episode but not the Castle's father episode, so obviously I'm a bizarro version of both of you.
This is my view, but I thought the show sunk around Season 3-4 where it got really dramatic and serious and stuff and it lost its edge for me.
Season 5 and on got back on track with the UST (and subsequent Relationship Upgrade) and the comedy and lighthearted nature (Well, as lighthearted as murder can get). It was fun again.
The 100th Episode was great and I loved it.
I found the Beckket Wedding Dress episode to be rather contrived and stuff ('Hey, I know I'm like you're prime suspect in a murder you're investigating, but can you model for me?'), but it didn't bother me too badly because I appreciated the sentiment there and, if they needed a contrivance to get there, so be it since I'm not too bothered.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.
All those other ones had Beckett the realist skeptic proven right though. This time, even Beckett had to gasp in disbelief. Castle didn't even seem to believe it either, heh.
