And then there's the scenes that happen every time you visit him in Fable 2...
\"Do you think my nose really looks that big?" *bang* \"Six months to develop?" *bang*
Barnum! NOOOOOOOOOO!
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."It may be because I haven't played the series since the first game, but I don't remember who Reaver is and I feel if I look at his page on Fable's wikia, I'll end up being spoiled to his purpose in this game. Anyone care to enlighten me on what he did in the past two Fables?
- Again, haven't played Fable 2, but I was aware of the fact that multiplayer meant the other player was a henchman rather than another Hero. In this game, you can play as your own Hero (in-universe explanation is that the Sanctuary lets Heroes go to parallel worlds and join others).
- You both have your dogs.
- You're both confined to being on the same map (same screen in local) and you both need to be at the exit/quest location to move on.
- You can form a "business partnership", which basically means you can split cash on purchasing things. I didn't try it so I don't know if there's more to it than that.
- You can also marry the other Hero and even have children together (either by the marital act or adopting).
I don't know if the Demon Doors in the game can open if the visiting Hero fulfilled the requirements and you haven't, but I doubt it. I didn't play long enough to really experience anything else, so maybe someone else can give another opinion on multiplayer.
Don't know about the first fable but all he did in the second was kill innocent people and try to hand you over to the baddie. Sort of a dick.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? He also destroyed Oakvale just to get eternal youth. And tricks you into giving up your youth or that of an innocent girl's.
Well, they're setting him up to get a comeuppance in Fable IV. I hope.
Jonah FalconJust got the game in the mail today.
Well befriending villagers to get guild seals is a good way of getting experience but... man, is it boring!
Rest of the game is ok so far though. I'm still early on. Slow as hell starting off though, hope it picks up a bit.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.I didn't care for the whole being a ruler part of the game. Too difficult and quite frankly a waste of time that could have been better spent on more quests.
"If everybody is thinking alike, somebody isn't thinking"- George S. PattonYou do know you can take a break from ruling and run all those quests waiting for you in the Hero Guild, right?
Jonah FalconOne thing I don't like about the weapon morphing is that it's completely arbitrary and random how it will morph. Chances are your weapons will morph accoring to how many chests you open and hollow men you killed than your morality or fighting style.
cumPretty much everything in Fable III seems arbitrary...
No kidding. I kicked one chicken by accident and the game decided to turn my gun brown because of it. Lionhead tied the morphing to so many ridiculous factors that it ends up being completely random. It's almost as annoying as having to earn the ability to buy property or make friends through the Road to Rule.
The developers were so over ambitious that the game often suffers for it.
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, GodfellasJust beat the game a bit ago. was pretty good, short though.
Short? Only if you stick to the main quest.
Jonah FalconYeah, the Hero weapon morphing is an interesting feature, but damaged by being totally random and arbitrary and also by the fact that the Hero Weapons are the weakest weapons in the game - you're better off switching to even the weakest Legendary Weapons as soon as you can.
finished the main quest in about 12 hours and i can finish all these side quests in about 2/3 more. Could finish the collection quests if the map wasn't so fucking useless.
Edit: Whoops.

I think for the next Fable game, if they decide to keep the weapon changing, they should allow the player to choose how it changes.
In fact, I'd like to see a lot more player control for customization.

cumYeah, being an...however you spell that acronym...is getting kind of old. Especially in Fable II. I beat Lucian as a fat baldy with glowing red eyes. I'd like NOT to end up like that again, thank you.
I'd most like to see a coherent morality system instead of... whatever it is now.

I'm really enjoying this, I'm just about to finish it. I do have some complaints though. The first is the damnable arbitrary weapon morphing. My sword ending up turning Grey because I fought mercenaries and it looks terrible, they should have let you chose from a selection of permutations you were eligable for. The second is that the morality system is really stupid executing Logan is evil? Really? Punishing him for his frankly unforgivable crimes, despite his reasoning instead of letting him go free makes me a tyrant? The third is how painful it is to manage property, why the hell isn't there a 'repair all' button? I own all the properties and it takes me ages just to repair them.
And finally, the most important gripe THEY KILLED MAJOR SWIFT THOSE BASTARDS! That upset me greatly.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.Question: Do all the NP Cs look the like what can be made with that NPC creator, or is there some hope of Albion not entirely being afflicted with chronic hideousness?
A few of the women are sorta pretty I suppose, but probably the only people in the game who might be considered conventionally attractive are Elise and Elliot. :/
Personally, I'm rather fond of Walter ;) but otherwise, I can't think of any non-uggos.
This is still a signature. This is the first Fable game where I've actually given a toss about the characters. They were all so likeable, and, unlike the previous 2 games, really fleshed out and well developed.
Unlike this games villain, who just appeared with no introduction or backstory.
