... Most anime translate horribly into live-action and I don't think Hayate would be any different.
Live action Hayate sounds like it would go horribly. The first thing it makes me think of is that you'd probably need a girl to play Hayate, and I think that would move it in such weird directions.
And we need a third anime season
And the manga now seems to be heading back into another serious-ish arc again.
From what I recall of the live action plan, it was more a generic romantic dramedy. I believe Hayate looked pretty masculine and they aged up Nagi. So the premise boils down to its most basic "poor but skilled guy gets hired by spoiled rich girl who falls in love with him". Which honestly isn't a bad premise for that sort of thing, but it would certainly be quite different without the cartoonish slapstick and weirdness and such.

Tch. I can understand aging up Nagi even if the romantic subtext with her is essentially 0 for almost the entirety of the series, but I wish they'd kept super girly looking Hayate. It makes for fun situations.
I don't really care for the movie at all, even though I haven't seen it. Just like how I don't care for most live-action adaptations.
Does anyone know when/if the manga will end?
When the writer runs out of ideas or can't wring any more money out of it. Beats me.
Hmmm... actually I can see a girl playing Hayate working out.
Sort of like Peter Pan being traditionally played by a girl.
It would certainly make the meta humor even more meta (and funnier).
sigh
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. Also, a new chapter is out. Hayate saves the day again- but was he seen?
And in a maid outfit too...
Nagi sure seems... excited.
Bumping.
Ok, finally got around to finishing the second season of the anime. Now, two questions.
1. Are they going to animate more of the series?
2. Where does the manga pick up where the anime dropped off?
Dunno, but hopefully, and it's just at the beginning of the Athena/Greece arc. Say... chapter 160 or so?
Apparently there's a movie and some sort of live-action thing coming out this year. And something else after the movie which hasn't been specified, but is suspected by fans to the a third season. Unfortunately, little has been announced about any of the three.
So, what's the name of the first Opening theme of the series? I tried to do a search but all that came up was the show's title.

Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listLol, nice.
I'm torn on waiting for the anime or reading the manga from where second season ends. Though, the final episode of the first season is after the second last of the second season so that confuses me a bit.
So if there is indeed a movie what will it adapt? or it will be original content?
I wonder when they're going to start broadcasting episodes again. I'm still waiting since october.

There is also no word on what the Hayate movie is going to adapt as of yet.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Hey, what episode of Hayate isn't?
I wish the second season was as long as the first.

Yeah. I kind of got tired of the filler a bit after the guy with the Geass. Second season was quite a bit better. I wonder what the movie is going to cover? Or rather, what the stopping point will be most likely since that arc is about 90 chapters or so.
^ What do you mean? That was basically unsunk. Then again it means the relationship still isn't going anywhere at all.

I think he's talking about Hayate liking Athena.

Also a live action taiwanese series apparently.
Which is just WUT? But hey.
