Yeah Natsu is an idiot for sure but in his defense even if it is a weak one. His spell is really powerful & he figured he'd end it there but it falls apart when you realize that Zeref was also the man who kept Alberath in check & they complied out of genuine respect & love for their ruler so Zeref dying would prolly make the Alberath army go absolutely ape-shit....... huh I'd like to see that really.

I wonder if Zeref hated making Natsu a demon and wanted him to become more like a Dragon to take down Acnologia.

Which is why I think Zeref wants Natsu to master his Dragon Slayer abilities. Demons can't hurt Dragons so END would be useless against Acnologia.

The image reminds me of how Harry beat Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets.

Considering the whole "anti-Dragonification antibodies" thing, I don't think being a demon and a Dragon were ever mutually exclusive.

Seems like Anna and Layla met Zeref via Eclipse in 777.

Anna is Brandish's mother.

Important points

Zeref tells Natsu who he is, and to prove it, he's the one who was attacking the book of END, not Gray.

Zeref and Igneel had agreed to use Natsu to beat Acny (who is apparently the Soul Dragon).

Natsu's not Really 700 Years Old; the Eclipse Gate mentioned above brought him to the present.

So if Mard Geer just found the book of E.N.D he was not the guild master Mard was. Did Mard lie about END making curses is END even some evil demon now fucking Mashima!!!

Going by last ep's curse recap,I think hyping up END as the big bad guy is part of the plan.It causes those negative emotions towards him,thus powering him up.

Since the Dragons were reduced to spirits all those years ago when Acno beat him I have a feeling that if they aren't demons, then the other true Dragonslayers are from the past as well and brought to the future through Eclipse.

Pretty much.

It just seems like Hiro is making END this source of evil power being used for good instead of the evil demon that was praised by Tartaros.

Still waiting to see if my guess for the dragons's E.N.D. contingency plan is correct.Chances are they arent.But we'll see.

Episode 262:

• Wow, oh wow, Jienma. That sure was a strong showing of your prowess. Why, you falling to one well-connected attack despite having no real damage prior must be a part of what you consider true strength. Do yourself a favor and off yourself(if you're strong enough to get back up, that is) for being such a weakling.
• Carla's only line this episode was inwardly commenting on how much stronger Wendy's gotten...after cutting her hair. She should've kept that thought in the recesses of her mind.
• "Curse Power is superior!". Heh, tell that to the other Gates who fell to magic.
• That said, his Memento Mori sure was grand. A shame it will inevitably be reversed.

Funny Memento was the original plot device that the villains wanted in the first plans for Tartaros before it was changed to FACE.

You know, looking back, Memento Mori is just Genesis Zero in Curse form. A bunch of ghouls consume the target and erase it from existence.

Is that so...? Hm, that seems a lot better than Tartaros using devices made by idiots with too much time on their hands.

I think what changed was the name?Not its story.

So from the spoilers, I'm guessing that means Natsu was brought from the past by Lucy's mom. Gajeel and Wendy were too? And why was it necessary to bring them from hundred of years ago?

I'm not looking forward to this chapter. What we've seen is great, but from the other spoilers I've seen Natsu not even caring Zeref is his brother and just attacking him is pretty bad.

Wait when was he told of his long lost family member?

Ah then thats very rude if he dosnt give an actual reason for the assault. Blood family can be just as important as adoptive family members.

It fits well with the message of the series though. Though you think he would care at least about the fact that he's the reason he's even alive in the first place.

You'd also think he'd care that it was both Zeref and Igneel together who had him be raised in order to face off against Acnologia.

Honestly Natsu is way to simple minded & hot headed to think of the big picture. Hes the brute of the team. Hes not really valued for his smarts or anything else, its just cause hes a good fighter.

Why should Natsu have any affection for Zeref? Zeref is at the current moment invaded his home country, Has sent his minions to try and kill members of Fairy Tail. Zeref saying he is Natsu's brother doesn't change that. Zeref is at the moment just another in long line of assholes trying to ruin Natsu's day. The affection is completely one sided... I'm more pissed that Happy stops Natsu when Natsu is more then willing to sacrifice himself just to stop Zeref who has made it clear he will have the whole world burn before he stops his campaign of death!

No the thing is that he should at least be surprised by this. Especially by the fact that Igneel along with Zeref agreed to raise him and send him to the future to fight against Acnologia. Hell even learning that the Demons of the book of Zeref were made to kill Zeref got a reaction out of him when Mard Geer told him.
