Did the first boss in .2 give anyone else trouble? I'm playing on Proud but it put up more of a fight than I was expecting.

Honestly, I've been waiting for over a decade already. A year or two more doesn't make much of a difference to me at this point.

Some guy I used to know made a joke (I believe this was around the BBS/358/coded era) about how when KH 3 came out most of our friend group would be in their early 30's. He wasn't far off.

Certainly not me. A Marvel world has no place in Kingdom Hearts. They couldn't possibly make it stylistically cohesive, let alone incorporate it narratively.

Not a great comparison in my opinion. Jack Sparrow basically is a Disney cartoon.

Square already does Marvel action figures. Problem solved.

Jack Sparrow was not the only person in Po TC and moreover, it was a dark and moody live-action film and basically the last thing you'd expect to see in Kingdom Hearts.

I just don't really take that much stock whenever someone says "xyz wouldn't fit" since KH is a gigantic mishmash of different visual styles as it is.

The problem for me is less that they wouldn't fit and more that the MCU is so ill-defined and vast that they need to focus on one or two properties or else it will get ridiculous.

Yes, we know how Pirates turned out, which is why I am saying what I'm saying. Port Royal is the worst world to ever appear in any Kingdom Hearts game. Period. Its tone is all over the place, it is extremely badly integrated and it looks awful.

And not to mention the inclusion of Marvel properties might devalue Xehanort's threat, especially if someone like Thanos is just lounging around out there while all this Heartless stuff is going on.

and it is more than possible for marvel and kh to blend. i dont get why it wouldnt be.

I'm not assuming that, I'm just saying Marvel's got a big pantheon of incredibly powerful characters. Even if you kept it to MCU, you still have Odin, Thor, Dormammu and Thanos.

Or, on the other hand, Marvel fans would become prickly that Xehanort diminishes Thanos' threat level. Some people are still bitter over perceived slights towards Maleficent.

I mean, being in a pissy love triangle slapfight with Deadpool hasn't exactly helped Thanos's threatlevel.

It'll be fine. Sora enters world, Loki or Ultron or whoever are threatening new york with heartless or something, bad guy pals around with Xehanort for a few scenes, Sora teams up with Spider-Man or Iron Man, they beat up the bad guy, make a friendship speech, then Sora moves on to the next world.

Yeah, but who cares? I'm sure for every single property that's in KH, there's someone who doesn't like the way it was handled, or that it was included at all.

I'd be very excited if Marvel is indeed included here.

And I do actually think it could be made to work. I'm not saying that it will work, but I think it could be done.
