Beat Sora's Story. Time to let the series sit for a while.
The only things I need to do on Sora's Story Standard are to synthesize a total of 300 rooms (I have no idea how many I have left to go), reach the max level, and collect the attack and enemy cards connected to clear data in Reverse/Rebirth and 358/2 Days. Since collecting those cards will have me going through the castle again anyway, the other two can wait until then.
Do you have Days available to play, or just the movie?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Just the movie.
I'm debating whether to watch it (after playing Reverse/Rebirth, which I'll probably start in a couple weeks), or wait on it until after I get II.5 and play Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, so they'll be in the proper order.
I also plan on getting a DS copy of Days so I can actually play it, too.
but wouldn't you prefer chronological order?
/he says, despite having played them entirely out of order herself.
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartThat ship sailed ages ago, seeing as I played 3D before anything else.
I actually played Chain of Memories first of all.
It was an interesting experience, not least because I had no full sense of what the island was actually like, so I was completely suckered by the Namine plot.
I have a message from another time...I played them in the following order: Re:coded, Days, like half of KHII, I.5 ReMIX, the rest of KHII, 3D, II.5 ReMIX
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartIt's really too bad that I can't stand the gameplay, because I did like the story better, both overall and in the individual worlds.
I am a horrible person who never played I. I played II first at the suggestion of a friend.
Needless to say, I was totally lost on my first playthrough.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I agree about the story overall, but the individual worlds were pretty meh
except for hollow bastion, which while being one of the most frustrating levels in the game, was by far my favorite kh1 rehash
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI played every game as it released; the only one I never personally beat was Chain of Memories, due to disliking the card-battle mechanics (I'm not sure I'll play the 1.5 Remix version). My love for the series was so strong that it's the main reason I started buying multiple gaming consoles once I had the ability to.
Days -> 3D -> Remixes
Interesting that Days as a standalone story was brought up a few days ago, because that described my experience for quite a while.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyOh geez. The ending to Days must've been a real gut-punch, in that way.
I have a message from another time...The Hundred Acre Wood is like, the WAFFiest thing ever.
yes
yes
yes
like esp at the ending of 100 acre wood in kh1
like that part expecially
but really every instance of it in any game is pure adorbs
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI got KH 1 on launch when I was eight. The funny thing was my dad never bothered to buy a memory card for ages so I never got further than Wonderland, I think. I also had FFX and could get to Luca in one sitting.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.I got KHI when I was ten, on a trip to the US. I liked it plenty, so when I had the chance I got II, while dismissing COM as unimportant. Thing is, my brother sold off our copy of I before we could beat it (we got about near to the end of Hollow Bastion), so I was unbelievably lost. Then I played COM and Days in an attempt to understand the damn plot, and by then it was too late to turn back.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.My first game was actually Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2010, so I was understandably confused at what was going on, though that may have contributed to my immediate intrigue. Afterwards I played Kingdom Hearts and was very disappointed thinking that the series ended after only two entries. Then I played 358/2 Days and found out about Birth by Sleep and coded and by then I was too deep in to stop. I actually didn't find out about Re:Chain until very late in, after Birth by Sleep's release in Europe.
Check out my YouTube-channel, if you wantI just realized something.
Sora's memories of the events of Chain of Memories are erased in between games. Which is kind of stupid in the context of the story, because why should reassembling his memories from before Castle Oblivion make him forget the stuff that happened afterwards? I guess one could argue that those "links" in his memory aren't connected to anything anymore, since they were built off of fake memories, but I digress.
The real reason this happens? So that you can go from Kingdom Hearts I to Kingdom Hearts II, skipping the Gaiden Game for a system you may not have, and know exactly as much as Sora does. Yes, you're missing a part of the story, but so is Sora.

oh dang
i hadnt realized that
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartKingdom Hearts 2 was my first one as well. I first played it in 2009 and got Days shortly after it came out after enjoying 2. I know the prologue gets a lot of flak for being too long, but the mystery behind it did a lot to draw me in as my first experience of the series and I was eager to continue so I could learn more about what was happening.
For another Birth by Sleep update, I've now managed to beat Vanitas Remnant and Armour of the Master with all three characters, Mysterious Figure with Ven and Aqua, and No Heart with Aqua. Yay me! I managed to impress myself with No Heart as I didn't have an ideal deck for the first attempt, it was just a quick go to see how he fought. This deck had no Curagas or items, leaving me to rely only on Renewal Barrier for healing, but I was still able to take off over half his health because he attacks so relentlessly I could keep my health topped up easily. I eventually died when I took too long to decide whether I should avoid his jumping shockwave attack by cartwheeling away or double jumping and he jumped on top of me. On my second attempt, I had a proper deck and was able to beat him, though I do wonder if I might have been able to beat him first time had I not been paralyzed by indecision at a critical moment.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierMy ideal deck is probably 4 Thunder Surges and 4 Curagas. Thunder Surge is the Boring, but Practical of the invincibility-granting commands, but it gets the job done since it has a quick startup and little ending lag.
Unless the Final Mix version nerfed it.

I think so, yeah.
