Well, I just wish they'd implement Disney things better. Worlds are one thing, but there's a lot of things in the normal parts of the story that could be filled with Disney elements or nods to them. Like, the random nobody hover-bike... thing that just comes out of nowhere for the Xemnas fight in TWTNW. Why did they do that, when Sora has access to a charm that can summon Tinker Bell? Or what about Stitch popping up with his ship for them to ride? Or summoning Genie and asking him to bring Carpet?

That's because Disney has rules against that.

Doesn't Kingdom Hearts have a restriction on it where, aside from the villains, the Disney Castle trio, and Yen Sid, the Disney characters can't affect the plot outside of their own worlds?

Otherwise we could have had Genie interacting with things from Agrabah onward in KHI.

KHI and KHII's revisits had less of a "must adhere to the movie plot" feel.

In KHI, a lot of things were driven by the villains' affiliation with Maleficent's Council of Eeeeevil. Which changed motivations and actions a fair bit. (Jafar wants the keyhole, not the crown).

Conversely, KHII's initial visits were too heavily held to the movies. To the point that Sora was sort of a bystander for much of Port Royal part 1.

BBS and 3D were mixed.

It's probably in part to keep certain movies from getting blatantly preferential treatment. Even though I think it would have been really cool for Aladdin to have been traveling with the party in KHI.

I liked the way the original Kingdom Hearts did it, mixing the Disney movie with Kingdom Hearts plot.

Too bad that got lost in the later games...

I just replayed Chain of Memories GBA. Marluxia was easier than when I remember, but Riku Replica and Axel still kicked my ass. God Damn that second Replica fight with Riku.

Okay, think I've just had a mind-bogglingly game-changing explanation for Xehanort's plan...

What if he was blatantly lying the whole time?

At least with regards to the idea that Ansem and Xemnas were following his agenda all along? Granted, that still requires an explanation for when Ansem traveled backwards to talk to Young Xehanort... maybe he got his memories back when he regained a physical form, and decided to start the alternate Organization in case his current plan didn't pan out?

I think that the two of them were in on the plan initially. Ansem gathered seven lights, and Xemnas was cultivating 13 seekers of darkness. But when things went south, they each decided "Well, then forget the plan. I've got a Kingdom Hearts right here, so I'm just gonna go ahead and be a god." I think Xemnas decided on that around the time Ansem got wiped out, as 13 darknesses would be useless without 7 lights. Which is probably why he was okay with sacrificing like half of the Organization in Castle Oblivion.

As for when he left, I think it had to be before he took over Riku, as he talked to Young Xehanort in his browncloak form. even in his later form, he's still a Heartless, and thus a heart, so I don't think he'd have to revert to the browncloak when time traveling.

That is also a really good idea. Either way, MX was ultimately full of crap, and the inconsistencies regarding Ansem and Xemnas's actions seem to be fixed. And I love that notion.

It's also perfectly valid that they would be willing to abandon the Keyblade War plan considering one's a Heartless and the other's a Nobody who seems to have gotten at least some memories from Terra. Their states of being altered could have easily altered their motivations and perceptions of what Kingdom Hearts was.

Oh, and in other news, I got to meet Richard Epcar at a convention today. Had a good laugh about Kingdom Hearts III, and I now have a wooden Kingdom Key replica with his signature. Today was a good day.

Yeah, I'm thinking the only one in Organization XIII who was fully committed to the War plan was Xigbar.

Speaking of meeting V As, I attended a con some months back that had Paul St. Peter (Xemnas) in attendance. He did a panel about voice acting, which was all sorts of fun.

An idea that just occured to me about the Kingdom Hearts anime. If it had been made and finished adapting the first game, would they have gone on to use worlds that haven't appeared in the games yet?

That's likely, since it probably would have been an alternate continuity.

Also, I think it was going to be a western cartoon. Atleast that's the impression I got. I could be wrong.

I just realized that Kingdom Hearts III is going to be on the Xbox.

And this happened the game AFTER Xehanort was revealed to have control of the letter X. O_O

Xehanort is using the Xbox in order to find his thirteenth vessel.

Still doesn't excuse it not being on the Wii U.

Ahhh, but the Recusant's Sigil was described as an X, not a χ. And the Organization's member names weren't made by adding a χ, so it's safe to say that X is an acceptable substitute.

It's the same damn shape.

Uppercase chi is indistinguishable from uppercase eks, anyway.

To me that is a good thing, due to this.
