.....Robot Unicorn Vanitas?
Vanitas: Maybe but it seemed very self contained compared to the other main series ones.
@Zero Potential BBS spoilers Pretty cool right.

Someone could save that quote. It may be useful for further scientific studies.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadDamned straight is it cool. 8D
Not really.
COM introduced the Organization, nobodies in general, and the whole "Memories" deal that we keep seeing for the rest of the games.
@X: So Fan Dumb can speak Whale?
@Aqua: If you're not aware of what happened in CoM, you'd probably be confused by Sora being asleep and some of the things in the opening video. I can't judge for sure, though, because I played CoM before KHII.
someday we will foresee obstaclesPretty much this.
I was confused.
@Master Aqua I think the only non essential Kingdom hearts games are Coded and maybe 358/2 Days.

I'm saying the events of the game didn't really have much impact beyond the people involved. The stuff in the other games could have affected all of reality rather than this small number of people within the castle.
edit: Sere: I guess you're right. I probably would have been more confused if I didn't watch them in chronological order.
Van: Agree on Coded, 358/2 is a bit more vague to me.

358/2 Days really just develops the Organization more, and apart from having a couple brief tie-ins to BBS, I don't think it's really essential unless you want to learn more about the characters. (Unless they manage to bring back Xion somehow...)
someday we will foresee obstaclesDon't they? God this series confuses me.
If anything, BBS felt more contained than the other games. It introduces at least six original characters where each one is more important than half of the Organization, foisted a plot device that has been hitherto unheard of ever since and its full impact over the series isn't fully appreciated until the end. There's nothing about the familiar characters we kno as we know them (not little tykes), a lot of the game is new and unheard of material (Basically how Keyblades worked, the history of Xehanort, the Unversed) and overall it felt disjointed and distinct compared to the rest of the series, probably because it is a self-contained story unlike Sora and the gang's story which stretched over all the other games except for Days and coded.
I still love BBS but it still feels like it was grafted haphazardly to explain away parts of the plot. It's like Nomura was basically layering the foundations of a cake and then decided to make a top-heavy layer and smack it right on top of the cake. Or something.
@Serenitas The only thing I learned about Roxas is that he's an idiot . I liked KH 2 Roxas more.
@Master Aqua Of course you agree with me silly.
Don't give up on this series.

There's an amusing transfusion causing confusion.

@Zero Potential that's pretty much why BBS was created and to help set up Kh 3 which doesn't bother me.
@Master Aqua They may or may not bring Xion back. It's possible that the she will only be remembered and make a cameo in KH 3.
I want Xion and Roxas versus Vanitas and SH

Kudzu Hearts! Fill me with the power of convoluted plot developments!
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadRight so KHIII will be the final foundation of that cake to help balance out the large portion of cake that is BBS that was heaved over the franchise.
Zero: It was self contained sure but looking back at it after watching the others immediately after it strikes me as amazing how it ties into them so much. Little things that you wouldn't even notice are references to BBS. I think it was kind of intended to be the new starting point for the next generation of fans.
Van: I don't intend to give up. It's just more complex than I anticipated. Oh well, it's not as bad as Lost.
Pretty much. I mean they want to continue the franchise. Everything could've ended at KH 2.
That's good.

The thread has been moving ridiculously quickly lately. I've been too busy catching up on things to post much. Nice to see that Folt, X2X and MasterAqua are back.
Eh, it's not that bad. I've played video games with FAR more confusing plots, even if they aren't Kudzu.

I don't think Master Aqua ever left.
They'll just make a new cake with the same ingredients!
Then again, just when I thought I had this franchise, DDD comes out and....yeah >__>
3D's more set up for KH 3. Not even KH 2 needed this much. Then then there's BBS. Vol. 2

Fan Dumb is an incomprehensible language with a frequency inaudible to normal humans. Scientists claim that it sounds similar to that of the noises produced by a Beluga whale.
