Clifford apparently does actually get a bit more clever when drinking, maybe a matter of the relaxation keeping him from getting in his own way.

Nice detail of Clinton's pint getting lower and lower in each frame and being refilled in the last frame. Don't know how long it takes for Clinton to drink beer but that exchange probably took about half an hour.
