Okay, we've seen a lot of drama in QC the past few weeks, but this strip just feels... off. Like it's coming too fast, too out of nowhere.

Maybe Jeph is making up for lost time, so to speak? Like he's taking all the drama some readers think he should've put into Marten/Claire and spreading it around the comic?

Yeah, everything seems a little off.

In other news, I work in a thrift store sorting donations, And look who came through the other day.

Blehh.

Y'know, I was thinking the other day that it was taking Dora an awfully long time to start sabotaging her relationship with Tai.

Jeph hinted at this some time back...can't remember the exact strip(s), but tension between Tai and Dora isn't completely out of left field.

Iunno how I feel about this drama. I mean, on one hand, the strips of late have been so blah that no one even bothered commenting on some of them.

On the other, it's weird to see every couple collapsing other than JJ's pet couple. Of course, there's an air of Like You Would Really Do It going on here... I don't see JJ killing his girl-girl couple, given his LGBT fanbase and how much he's trying to appease them (or if he does genuinely think like them. Either way).

I do just hope it doesn't lead to Faye getting rehired. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I didn't like the way Dora fired her, but I feel like a Reset Button is a huge copout.

Well, Dora, time to see if you learned that you should try fixing the consequences of your flipouts.

I think this is more of a wakeup call argument than a breakup.

Although the drama in today's strip still feels forced, I have to admit there's precedent for Dora having trouble opening up to Tai. It raises doubts about the viability of their relationship.

I do think it's funny that that was the last time we saw them together (at least, I think it was), and it was explicitly saying "WE'RE DRAMA-FREE, GUYS."

Back on topic: She was kinda close! Kinda.

Dora, seriously firing Faye is one thing but cutting off all contact with her?. That's a bit extreme and probably will not help her cope with the downward spiral. And while I'm not surprised Tai and Dora are having drama, I'm just surprised it took this long. Martin really should have warned Tai ahead of time about the drama issues.

I don't see her cutting off all contact out of anger, but out of guilt.

Dora is going through her own crap right now. She's been a bit crazy since cutting Sven out of her life - obviously something is messing her up as well and it's affecting how she interacts and reacts to the people around her.
