More like they chose not to contact Nigoro. Ugh.
It was somewhere on Twitter.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! What.
What kind of jerks are those guys? O_o
Will game ever get wiiware release here? ._.
Probably not, but there's always a PC release to look forward to.
B-but have been saving htose wii points for nothing? ;-;
There's always...
uh...
um...
Wow. Nicalis just scored a 13 on the Dick Move scale (which only goes from 1 to 10)
If what y'all are saying is true, then Nicalis, after screwing up the music of Cave Story and now screwing up the release of La-Mulana, ought to disband and maybe regroup under a different brand, at the very least. There's obviously something wrong going on here. If Carpe Fulgur can do a much better job with Japanese Indie Game localization, then I do have to ask what the matter is with Nicalis.
I'm not seeing the "10 months cancellation" thing anywhere, not even on twitter. It's dickish if that's how it went down, but I don't see anyone else mentioning something like that.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadURGH! STUPID!
STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID!
STUPID!
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.NIGORO has some news about this.
http://la-mulana.com/en/blog/a-gold-rush.html
- They're releasing the PC version anyway.
- Some other publishers have made offers since seeing that interview about La-Mulana's cancellation.
- This is one of those odd games that's not popular in its home country. NIGORO seems to hypothesize that Japanese indie games aren't that popular in Japan in general for some reason.
Kinda odd, considering how stagnant the gaming scene is in Japan right now.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I guess Indie games in Japan are still seen as those weird things that 1-4 developers sell MAYBE a couple hundred copies of at conventions.
IDK how much money was lost by the nontimely release of this game, but I hope that the cancelling of the Wiiware version gets more people looking at the PC version in the end that didn't know about it.
Of course, there's still the matter of making sure the game comes out with a nice translation.
My pipe dream would be if Carpe Fulgur were to do it, but I'm sure there's other indie localizers that have done good work.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead^^Its stagnant because people are comfort with stagnancy
HOLY SHIT a NIGORO / Carpe Fulgur dream team?
Carpe Fulgur: It's not just for lolis anymore
Maybe GMH...maybe.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadI think they would take offense to that description considering where they hail from.
I highly doubt such a thing would happen though.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Whoa!
I guess this is happening after all!
And checking the Playism website it seems that they don't just have La-Mulana, but also a number of other indie games (some of which I'm interested in getting), among which are three games whose titles are in Japanese and thus I don't know what they say.
Well of course its happening Just maybe not on Wii
What about...Wii U?
purchased and downloaded it. It's so weird that this game is out at last....but it is!
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadWaiting for steam release
^^ Is the Playism version DRM-free?
Do you have a source article for that claim (cancelled 10 months ago) that I can read? I'm wondering exactly what the tone of delivery was, there.
