IIRC, He just sounded very preachy when we didn't see him really doing anything in the game to help with the situation at hand while lambasting Zero and Axl for using violence even when they don't really have any other option in the situation. None of the Mavericks in X7 nor Red seem like the type of people to accept peaceful negotiations. Neither is Sigma.
Not wanting to jump to violence unless necessary is good but you need to accept some people can't be reasoned with.

6 at least has some few redeemable features, 7 pretty much has none. Previously they'd done a good job making X a Martial Pacifist without making him a wimp. Even when Zero dies in 5, he still vows to keep fighting even if he's heartbroken.
It's no wonder when you finally see the real X at the end of the first Zero game he's an exhausted mess.

i first encountered X5 in a gaming magazine that had a walkthrough for the whole game, including showing the ending.
I have devoted years of my life to trying to find what magazine/issue that was XD I THINK it was a Game Pro issue but which one is what I'm fuzzy on.

The Worst Game in the Series aside, what makes X such an interesting character to me is that despite not wanting to fight, there's not much of any indication that he's really good at doing anything else.

They do note that he's working on a virus cure, or was before the start of the game. No telling how good he was at that.

Having read the X manga adaptation, his murderous expressions in the X4 part after Frost Walrus murdered Blizzard Buffalo made me realize that he would have been terrifying as Master X.

Sentinel's Megaman figure lineup looks great. I got Rock, and preordered X, but there's also Hub (in normal, Hubstyle, and Bugstyle), Rock in Jet and Power armors from MM 6, Cutman, and soon we'll get Volnutt and Geo/Stelar.
Kotobukiya's got gigantic 1/10 scale Rock, Roll, and Blues model kits too.
Recently got Truforce X as well, he looks amazing and his construction is Chogokin-grade :D

I suppose it would, though there's a part of me that always sees it as him getting X out of the way so that the guy he wanted to be a hero in the first place can do so. I doubt that's the case, but still.
In the end, my preference for X not be the villain is purely personal. I can't stand the idea of such a hero falling that hard. It's one thing when you hear about it in the backstory, but to actually see it happen...? To see the time when he was a legitimate hero...that would be hard to stomach.

Myself, I want to see the point where Copy X broke under the stress of taking on the original X's mantle. X in body but not in mind or heart, the poor clone was crushed by the stress of his position.

I think it's enough that X is still crushed under the weight of his responsibilities and feels regret for what he's done and to the point where he no longer could care about his enemies.

Copy X didn't really have the experience and wisdom that X himself had as he was just a replacement for the original. Copy X is tragic villain and he tried to live up to everyone's expectations of X but he isn't X.

@Zel: Yeah, that's the Truforce X I picked up. The final release for him is in armor upgrade colours (white on blue instead of the typical blue coat) and really looks like an upgrade.

Copy X sounds like he started off superficially having zX's traits, but without the morality testing, there was no way to ensure he'd live up to fill the role. He tried to be the X the world needed, failed, and has the Guardians to help out, leaving him to go mad with superiority and his power over humans and Reploids.
Copy X: No... A perfect copy of the original X. The new hero who saved the human race from this wasted world. Didn't you notice...? The humans have found happiness more than ever before... The utopia that humans have searched for, is here in Neo Arcadia. This is something that you and the original X could never create... Only I could do this!
Zero: This is a peace that can only be achieved by retiring uncountable numbers of innocent Reploids... This is not what anyone wanted! This place is just a joke!
Copy X: Ha ha ha. You are so funny... It's been fun... Now, let's get down to business!
(Copy X transforms into his ultimate armor. Zero battles him and defeats him.)

X was surprisingly extremely willing to go straight to lethal force with Epsilon in Command Mission, although when it came to the actual fight in the lategame he was clearly outraged at the mistreatment of the reploids from Giga City by Rebellion Army forces and the war crimes they commited, and the SFM Warhead was the last straw.
Truforce X towers over Sentinel Rock and D-arts Rock, who have different proportions (Sentinel Rock has the general shape of Classic Rock as seen in older games and Smash 4, while D-Arts Rock is proportioned like his MM 8 official art).

So I've been using the first five notes of Protoman's whistle as a phone notification sound for a while, but I've decided it's a bit too long and shrill to work very well. Any suggestions for a Mega Man-themed replacement?

The energy refill SFX? The Mega Buster/X Buster charging? The dying SFX? Rock's "Here we go!" cry when you start a game in Mega Man Legends? Some of the noises Data makes?
