Has the SCP Foundation ever investigated the Slender Man?

If they haven't, then they jolly well should.

Never heard of the Slender Man, but the SCP Foundation is awesome.

Slender Man Mythos

SCP is from /x/, Slenderman is from SA. Makes sense that they wouldn't cross, really... and SCP usually sticks modern fictional characters in a different category as I remember.

If somebody was to write up an article about Slender Man, it would be downvoted to oblivion in minutes. Namely because the SCP Foundation is original writing. And ripping off an urban legend is generally frowned upon.

It's not an urban legend, per se. But it would not fall under "original writing" unless the author of the article came up with a good number of aspects of it to distinguish it from the original - which, given how nebulous Slendy is to begin with, would be even more of a task in this case than with something else.

Crossover fanfiction, on the other hand, is fair game.

Along with the above mentioned SPC-592, there's also SPC-582 which pretty clearly flirts with the Slender Man mythos.

Neither of those articles were from the Shark Punching Center. I am disappointed.

I think I remember reading somewhere about a Foundation entry/story that had Slendaman actively rejected as an SCP for not being interesting enough or some such.

But that's a story for another time.

Bah, Slendermans kid stuff when compared to 90% of the stuff at the Foundation stories. All he does is watch and occasionally cause someone to disappear.
