Team Vergil, Team Lady, or Team Trish? I'm all for Lady. Something about being a Bad Ass Normal in DMC 4 seems appealing.

Apparently today's intended Twitch stream crashed about halfway through due to underlying site problems. Didn't stop some YouTubers from grabbing the footage that was there and putting it into a video, though.
Ooooh man. Vergil looks super good. I hope we get similar in-depth stuff on Lady and Trish too.

Seriously, though, I'd like to see a real representation of "Sparda the Legendary Dark Knight" that shows us how overpowered it is if you combine both Dante's and Vergil's respective strengths and styles into one character (my headcanon is that as a warrior, Sparda is basically Dante and Vergil blended together into one hugely OP amalgam).

I was kind of ignoring most of the Vergil footage cause I thought I knew what to expect, but that was a big mistake. Those DmC sword teleports and just frame attacks... That expanded moveset... Those devil trigger buffs... It's incredible.

If it's DmC2, shit will be flipped. Even if they fixed the gameplay with the We're Sorry Edition, that doesn't fix everything else.

Although, DmC actually does have a sequel hook to it, what with Vergil becoming Lord of Hell, and the possibility of Dante helping humanity rebuild its society, or at least becoming a full-time demon hunter.

Meanwhile, in DMC, we still have Sparda's story and Dante being trapped in Hell. Not to mention whatever Nero decides to get up to.
That would require them to admit that Devil May Cry 2 exists though.
That could be just retconned away.

I still want a game set Post DMC2, though. One where Nero and Kyrie (who's Taken A Level In Badass) handle some problem with demons somewhere, Lady and Trish try to hunt down Dante, and Dante takes care of problems in Hell. Then all three storylines converge together for a Final Episode where you can play as whoever you like.

I don't believe that in the slightest. Women can still be girly and kind and tender and whatever adjective you want and still kick loads of ass. Several of my own female characters are that way. It's just that making her be able to kick loads of ass is pretty much the only surefire way to get people to stop bitching about her. I don't think that Kyrie should be like Trish and Lady in her manner of dress or personality, I think that she should be like them in regards to the amount of ass she can kick.
As for Lucia, I honestly forgot about her.

Kyrie doesn't need to kick ass, she just needs to have some actual personality and story relevance that couldn't be supplanted by a blow-up doll.

That may be enough for you and me but giving her a way to kick ass that's sufficiently different from the others should reduce the number of potential complaints. I can see a fair number of people if Kyrie comes back and she's still a non-combatant given that she's a non-badass in what seems to be a World of Badass.
