Especially if we take DMC2 into consideration. Argosax the Chaos should be about as powerful as Mundus and Dante managed to kill it without even using his Devil Trigger, let alone his Majin Devil Trigger.
Really, the DMC series is very interesting when placed in chronological order. Unlike most series where the threats get more and more powerful and the heroes have to rise to the challenge, the threats all stay around the same power (with two exceptions) while the hero gets progressively more powerful. It's almost like an inverse of Serial Escalation.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Anyway, Bayonetta and Dante would have to fight each other in a crossover, powerlevels be damned, because rival battles are always the best and they'd have the sssickest rival battles ever.
I was just thinking that it would be funner for them to be massive trolls about it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'd imagine something like Dante vs Agnus, only the door will swing both ways.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Doesn't Bayonetta make allusions to DMC franchise anyway with vague references to a Legendary Dark Knight?
Improving as an author, one video at a time. They flat-out stated that Eva was an Umbran Witch and that she contracted with Sparda (though obscured by only using his title) in the description of the Bracelet of Time.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I wouldn't say "flat-out stated".
Here, and that's just a cute reference. That doesn't mean "It's the same Eva, they're in the same universe." Bayonetta makes references to lots of things. "Dancin' a go-go baby". And that's just one.
Anyway, Bayonetta and Dante would have to fight each other in a crossover, powerlevels be damned, because rival battles are always the best and they'd have the sssickest rival battles ever.
I mean, I can't say "you can't have someone as cool as Dante in the same picture." They managed Dante and Vergil being in the same game, and Dante and Nero, even though Nero's still the understudy. It's just... who throws the first punch?
They're both very nonchalant, Bayonetta more-so. So then the question is - what are they fighting about?
And then, how to portray such a fight? Dante probably gets pummeled around by her Wicked Waves because in his series, it's okay for Dante to get slapped around before mounting the attack and curbstomping someone. Bayonetta, however, usually b'tchslaps her opponents right from the bell, and only 3-4 times is she ever physically disadvantaged or beaten in a cutscene.
Dante enjoys taunting his opponent and lounging before he kicks your ass. Bayonetta prefers to lounge and let you run your mouth before she kicks your ass.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Kamiya did say Bayonetta would kick Dante's ass, but then again Bayonetta is his latest brainchild and he hasn't been involved with Dante in what, a decade? That's like Motomu Toriyama declaring that Lighting would kick Cloud's ass seven ways to the moon. (Which I can see him saying.)
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Still...what can you say? And I think it would happen personally.
No matter what, it ends in sex.
That's another thing. Dante relies on money. He needs money to keep his shop afloat - and while we rarely see him ever make money, and the regenerative powers of his shop are hilariously called into question in 3 and 4, we know that he operates in the real world, somehow, despite a ridiculous business policy.
Bayonetta... god, how does she even make money? Selling demonic artifacts? Or is it that she's a witch and witches are consistently wealthy?
She spends halos for weapons and lolipops, sure, but we saw her shopping at the start of Bayo 2. With what money? From what career? If she's constantly being attacked by giant, invisible monsters, what firm could she possibly be hired for without blowing the place up a week later?
It's just funny thinking about it.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).She could model easily.
And I thought she just jacked it off her dad's firm?
I think your post has all the words necessary to form an idea of her probable career, Vertigo.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I think Dante and Bayo would be about even. I mean, if the Umbran witches have to make deals with demons to get their powers, and Dante is half demon, I would think that Dante, being the offspring of the Legendary Dark Knight who could defeat all these other demon lords, would be as strong as Bayo. Hell, they make it seem like Dante becomes even stronger than his dad.
I guess it depends on how strong Sparda is compared to Madama Butterfly.
Dante is stronger than Sparda. He was stronger by the time the anime rolled around.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Here I thought you were sorting by quality.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Huh? That's the timeline of the series.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yes, hence the phrasing of "here I thought" indicating past happenings. It's the less than signs that threw me off.

Just thinking out loud, since you brought up Dante being stronger than Sparda. I'm watching the anime right now and looking for when Dante's said to be stronger than Sparda. IIRC either Mundus or Argosax might have said it.
Did we ever get a full display of Sparda's power that wasn't corrupted or nuanced by something? Most of his feats were from word of mouth.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Actually, I'm pretty sure it was something stated in 4.
As for Dante being more powerful than Sparda by the anime, that's mainly just conjecture. In the first game, Dante required the Sparda sword and Sparda Devil Trigger in order to defeat Mundus. In the anime, Dante defeats a demon of similar power with just Rebellion and his regular Devil Trigger.

Which would nullify all of Dante's feats past DMC 1, where he fought Mundus, his strongest opponent.
