HYYYYYYYYYYPE.
You know, just one day, I'd like to go to a panel like this. Just hang out and shit.
What's the new chronological order of the series due to 4 Special Edition?
Still 3 > 1 > 4 > pretending 2 doesn't exist.
What about the story modes in 4 Special Edition that aren't Nero's?
Assuming Vergil's story is even canon in the first place, it would have to go like this to avoid timeline problems:
- DMC4 (Vergil) > DMC3 > DMC1 > DMC4 (Dante/Nero/Trish/Lady) > Some other game I can't quite remember ()
Everyone else's stories in DMC4 run concurrently of each other, so there's no issue of when each character's story takes place besides Vergil's.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!So...DMC 5 (that's not Ninja Theory!DMC 2) is potentially becoming an actual thing.
I'll bet that it'll be a PS 4 and PC exclusive Capcom will announce at E3 this year...or sooner.
And I'll even bet there'll be a Take That! against Dm C in there.
(P.S. The "one we're not gonna talk about" that the guys in the video from the last page said, it was totally Dm C, wasn't it?)
Why is it soo hard for those knuckle heads at capcom to actually flesh out Vergil?
DMC 5 should be a full remake of DMC 2.
That would be hilarious.
Eh. I'd be fine with it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I wouldnt care as long as it is a good Devil May Cry game.

DMC 2 is the game with the most need for a remake anyway.
There's alot of potential for a DMC 2 remake, but they'd have to essentially rebuild the gameplay, environments, story tone and direction from the ground up. Lucia has the potential to be a cool character at least.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...No, it should just be DMC 2.
With slightly better visuals.
It'd be nice if a hypothetical DMC 2 remake managed to work what happened in DMC 2 into the rest of the games...
Because according to you guys, there seems to be nothing connecting DMC 2 with the rest of the games story-wise.
There really isn't it happens sometime way after DMC4 and that's about it. Gameplay wise, it actually introduced basically everything we love about the series today. It just executed them poorly by having everything available to you at the same time rather than having to switch styles.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!DMC 4 was going to explain why Dante is the way he is in 2 but capcom punked out.
Which was a good thing, really, given how amazing Dante was in 4.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!He was amazingly annoying.
Honestly, they shouldn't even bother with explaining why Dante was the way he was in 2. Just push it under the rug as the poor character writing it was. Hell, they'd be better off rewriting 2, and making Dante more in line with how he is in the other games. Or a calmer version of his DMC 4 personality. After all, he comes off as being invincible in 4, since he has the rookie Nero to be compared to. A DMC 2 remake with Lucia being more an equal would reduce that effect.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...He was like that in 2 too though, or did you forget him killing a Mundus level demon in his normal state, by shooting them in the head with his handguns.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Yeah. By MDC2, Dante is probably the single most powerful entity in existence.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!He got Shyamalised. The final boss of DMCV is Mr Night Shyamalan.
Truly the greatest foe.
I should see the apology film he did. I hear it's legit good.
Don't get my hopes up, man.
