I can figure out what it is, but then again I'm familiar with the series, so my opinion on it isn't worth much of anything.
Maybe if you could get a better close-up, or a cleaner snapshot of the same scene, maybe...

I have a message from another time...As i said on Duel Boss where that image was first suggested:
It's impossible to make out if you do not know the game...
Hmmm. That's a good picture, but it's a little hard to make out what's in it. Is it possible to increase the resolution w/o changing the size? (Note: I'm not familiar with whatever this image is from).

I reject your requirement for a witty statement or fanboyish squealing in my signature. It's clear in that image that somebody is locked out of the fight, but there's no way of telling who, or which side the fight is even on. Not too great.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Maybe we could use something from this scene from Star Wars : The Phantom Menace?
Also, while I'm not suggesting using it as a page image, would Navi being kept out of Link's first fight against Ganondorf in Ocarina Of Time qualify as an example?
There's a good scene from Gash Bell for this, but there's no individual page where you can really tell what's going on.
If someone can good a screen of the Darth Maul fight, that could work.
Looked, it cuts back and forth between Obi-wan and the fight, no shots of both.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Hmm, would a two-frame between them work? Maybe one that shows Maul and Qui-Gon fighting with the lasers in the background, and then Obi-Wan trapped behind the lazers?
Ah, wasn't starting early enough, this is before the final fight sequence:

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Not bad...
That's acceptable. Though it's hard to see that there's a fight going on beyond the lasers.
The Darth Maul scene immediately came to mind as I entered this topic, but it's hard to see what is keeping him out of it. The energy barriers.
nm. That was the scene in question that I was thinking about. I guess I just remembered it differently, and wasn't as good as I thought it would be for the trope.

If you want to look in the YouTube video above, and find a good frame, I'm sure someone with access to a higher quality version will get it.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Mm, it's difficult to tell that the pink lighting means there's a field in front of him.
Hmm...
I'd like it, but you can't tell that there's a fight happening on the other side.
Add a third frame with the fight. It's a pretty clear image, and it's still small. In fact, maybe only the second one, and one with the fight would work. The second seems pretty clearly like a barrier, since you can see the walls next to it.

There is one moment where you can see Darth Maul pacing back and forth, Qui-Gon is meditating, and Obi-Wan is far off in the background in the corner. I don't think this would convey very well as a shrunken image though.

The big panel in the third row of this might work, but it's covered by text.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajWait a minute, that comic has two perfect frames right there.
Just get the scenes of the last two panels from the movie.
There are a whole bunch of screencaps from Kingdom Hearts I could think of.
I'm convinced that our modern day analogues to ancient scholars are comedians. -0dd1Hmm, you have a point.
But wasn't that mostly just at the end of II?
Funnily enough, I was using this situation as an example of NOT being this trope by choice, but visually, I think it'd work.

Lets hear some other ideas too, though.
