@Mage That can't be true. They really tuned her voice in Telephone.
@Swish And she had said to Rachel: "Maria Von Trap, Willie Loman, Shrek. Those are the roles that are appropriate for your level of sex appeal." Maria sure, Willie Loman mean, but Shrek is like beyond bullying.
But wow. So much bitterness...cries of hypocrisy and Sue-dom!
...lemme think. Kids in Glee have some Protagonist-Centered Morality for whoever counts as the protagonist. Moral Dissonance, but hey what can you do...
"Bullying" if done in person, "scathing" if done in a review.
Sure it was harsh, but I think it was done in an effort to teach... And even if I'm wrong, it's minor in comparison to Carmen Tibideaux's method... Or is it just that "You suck. Go home and thanks for the money" is okay to hear if it comes from Whoopi instead of Kate Hudson?*
I take the view that some reviewers are bullies with a a license.
And Shrek is a pretty hot guy, especially as a human. He's big and strong and kind and has some very soft, very cuddly features. More "cute", in a blunt, boorish way, than "sexy" though... so, yeah, Rachel fits the bill perfectly.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Re: Blaine's crack at Sam, the problem is twofold:
1. It's Blaine who ends up being apologized to.
2. The episode "Sexy," wherein he was trying to do the exact same thing that Sam was doing - use sex appeal in their routine.
Also, in regards to theatre reviewers, ever read Sondheim's Finishing the Hat and Look, I Made a Hat? He has a bit to say about critics, and not a lot of it is nice. Theatre critics, at least.
As far as Cassy goes, how is her flat-out not letting Rachel receive the same training as the rest of the class teaching her anything? Y'see, I could get the whole "tough love" method of teaching for a bit, but at that point it crosses over to just plain "not teaching."

Fanfiction I hate.Rachel isn't boorish...she's just blunt.
And about Beatrice McClaine, didn't her pitch sound a little off...?
Well yeah, reaping the freshmen IS probably worse than chewing them out. It's all apparently theater boot camp.

Her "review" was totally bullying and Rachel's response, while poor strategically because the woman is in a position of power over her was spot on accurate.

‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them. Not yet, but the longer Santana is away, the more i can see her and Sam going in that direction.
Trump delenda estCould go either way, but I'd honestly be surprised if that happened. If that actually did happen, the shippers would be pissed...

Fanfiction I hate.Plus, they'd have to invent a new love interest for Santana, because she's the only lesbian on the show and casual viewers won't get that if she's not romantically involved with anyone.
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.I don't think Glee is going to break up all of their long-time couples, but maybe I'm wrong. Mike and Tina already already broke up off screen, from the looks of it Kurt/Blaine AND Finn/Rachel are breaking up next week, so maybe Brittany will grow apart from Santana enough to develop feelings for someone else in time.
I know long-distance relationships can work out, but it is very rare and for once the show is being realistic.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.Just finished brittany, that was a shore! So... Jake is dating No-depth-cheerleader-bitch? Brittany has a secret language. Blaine is sort of the Only Sane Man while Rachel learns a lesson... during the ONE TIME WHERE SHE ACTUALLY HAS A POINT...
...and they sung Brittany Spears.
Why... I am watching this show again?
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.Because you think it's going to get better.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatBecause sometimes it does, only to immediately let you down.
Like when there was Coach Bieste's domestic troubles. We thought it'd be a one-episode stint, but it turned into an interesting and compelling character arc.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. While Rachel did have a point when she spoke that way to Cassandra July, that is really not something you say to a teacher - especially a college professor - if you want to graduate.
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.Something that bothered me about Cassandra's speech "Someone could have posted that in the youtube and your carrer would be over"
Well... I can see that many places wouldn't want to hire Rachel if seeing said video, and if NYADA is any example, New York showbusiness is like a Crapsack World...
...HOWEVER Cassandra would likely still come off as the worse from it, she already has the infamous story, and there is no way that said story wouldn't resurface and that in no way would make Cassandra look good things might not actually get worse for her, but the only two possible outcomes: either things stay the same or get worse.
Now for Rachel... a story like that could be terrible for career, she could very well end up having a huge black mark in her record... she could also come off as the poor inocent victim and actually gain celebrity status from it, the Business Industry wouldn't like her, but the audience (the one that actually gives the industry money) has a very solid chance to like her.
EDIT: Of course, this is glee, where logic comes to die. Which is pretty much the reason I starting to dislike this show.

"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.Come to think of it, doesn't she already have an embarrassing pre-career viral video about her? ("Why is the giant eating the dwarf?")
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them. That might be bad, but is only embarassing, rather than destructive, also many might realize that Finn was the one to blame with easies it.
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. She does, but that does not speak to her professionalism, but to her.. lacking. taste in men. Cassandra sort of has a point tough - There is a lot of people competing for show business jobs, and if you want to work, it really helps to have a reputation for professionalism. A lot of famous people lack this - the demanding diva (of either gender) is a stereotype for a reason, but it is a bad habit they picked up *after* they made it, and it still hurts their careers. Reeves may not be the finest actor around, and there are actors at his pay grade with more box office pull, but he has an IMDB list long as your arm because he is pleasant to work with.

Who is Reeves?
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.Keanu.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI'm reminded of Patti Lupone's famous tirade where she stopped a performance of Gypsy because someone in the audience was taking pictures.
We know this, ironically, because someone else was recording audio.
Fanfiction I hate.Is it weird if I think that, if Klaine breaks up, Blam could happen?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyBlam would be nice. And you'd have two straight actors playing gay together. I wonder if that's ever been seen before?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
There's a really strong implication that Blaine comes from one of those old-money high class families. Him having old fashion ideas and morals wouldn't really surprise me.
