I suffered from bullying as well. Lots of people did. It's TV Tropes. If you don't like Kurtofsky, good for you. No need to raise a squabble over it.
Read my stories!Seriously, let the Kurtofsky shippers ship. It's just their personal fun.
All shippers are equal. You can argue Kurtosfky is especially unrealistic and almost offensive because of the circumstances in canon, but once you cross into fandom it's all the same—fan-made stuff for some guilty pleasure. It's not serious and should not be treated as such. I'm with AHR on this - just leave people to their own tastes and you enjoy yours. It's not your right to judge and it's not fair to gang up on the minority.
I'm actually kind of disappointed in everyone's reaction, so much so that I had to leave 20 pages of just reading posts to make one myself. >___>
Getting back to Funeral, surprisingly sad episode—handled pretty well for Glee, although they still managed to completely create a mess out of Jesse's characterization (as demonstrated by the past 3 pages of back-and-forth). I managed to not cry, but I felt it. I agree the ep felt strangely filler-ish for this late in the season, but it's interesting to see how alliances and enemies are shaping up. Jesse's adding some pressure, Terry seems to be leaving for good, Sue is going nice?, Quinn's back to being evil and actually kind of scary (creepy last line!)...
I do wonder where they're headed with Sue, though. Common logic says they can't have her actually go nice because she'd just fall out of her niche in the series, and there's not replacement enemy (YET) for if she leaves the show permanently so that seems unlikely.. but at the same time, Glee's going to have to rotate characters eventually, right (as the kids graduate)? And people have been complaining that Sue's gone off the deep end these past few episodes...
My guess is they'll forget all about it by next week and undo all of her character development. You go, Glee.
I'm really excited for Quinn's plan, though! If they're doing original songs again, maybe she'll keep the tune but re-write the lyrics for part, and change it mid-performance, and she and Rachel will have spontaneous a song-writing/singing war up on stage or something! Two questions—what year are the students, again (juniors?) annnd to confirm there's 3 episodes left, right?
They are indeed juniors, and there's only one episode left this season.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me....No? There's one episode left.
And they won't undo Sue's character development. It would be a dishonour to Jean's memory. However just because she's not trying to take down the Glee club anymore doesn't mean she isn't still Sue. She just needs a new outlet for her outrageous insults.

Just one ep? Wow, then it really does seem like this episode was a little.. fillery. But I guess they're just saving all of the excitement for the next episode. P: And then it starts season 3 after breaking for the summer, right?
Bad Wolf your innocence is so cute. Wrong, but cute.
And make a Torches and Pitchforks joke count as a squabble?

"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. This is not your typical "Rachel/Finn/Mercedes/whoever learns a lesson at the end of the episode about working as a group/being yourself/whatever and then promptly forgets it next week." This is Sue declaring an end to her feud with Will. That's major.
When you pothole to sincerity mode, it does. Entirely changes the meaning.
Read my stories!Fair enough, I only put sincerity mode to make it clear that it wasn't sarcasm mode, due to the lack "sort of joking" mode.
Yeah, yeah... your point?

"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.That.
Anyway, didn't Sue kind of patch things up with Will at the end of season 1, and then decided at the start of 2 that "it got boring?" With their newfound peace being sworn upon her sister's death there's definitely more.. credibility to it this time, but I dunno, there's still status quo.

She went back to being her old self when Will sided with Beiste over her. She dropped the truce, but it wasn't for anything as simple as "I don't want to do this anymore."
Good point, and maybe I'm thinking of the wrong situation then, but didn't she nearly exactly say "[being nice] got boring" once? Like, as she walked away from a shocked Will in the hallway once or something? I have a horrible memory.. I should look stuff up before I talk about what happened months ago.
Oh well, we'll see where New Sue goes.
That might have been Hell-O. I'm not sure.
How many times did Jean actually appear on-screen, out of curiosity?
Twice in Season 1 (Wheels and Bad Reputation) and twice in Season 2 (Grilled Cheesus and Furt) with a third mention in each (The Power of Madonna and The Rocky Horror Glee Show). Plus Funeral.
Funeral airs here next week, but ATM I have to say I seriously doubt Sue will be on the straight and narrow for good. Swearing on Jean's death or not, how many times has she Heel Face Turned now, only to go evil again as soon as it was convenient for the writers? I think it must be approaching five. And generally speaking, any characterization on this show is extremely inconsistent. It's one of about five things that really bug me about the show, the others being:
2. The constant Unfortunate Implications surrounding race. 3. The seemingly non-stop Very Special Episodes. When the show's trying to send a message, it does it with a fucking railroad spike and a sledgehammer. Holly Holliday's anti-heckling speech stands out as a particularly bad one, especially since it seemed like they were taking potshots at people who criticize TV shows on the Internet. 4. The way the Glee Club interaction is written - we hardly ever see them as casual friends, it's mostly just a whole bunch of fighting until it's time for the weekly C Mo H/s. 5. Which are usually very speechy cases of Tastes Like Diabetes, anyway. Tone it the hell down, for God's sake.
about your point 4.
I would think that because most of the groups members aren't "friends" per se.
Looking at Brittany. She's friends with Santana. Probably somewhat close to Quinn. Maybe has bonded with Mike over dance stuff. But she hasn't really interacted with the other members.
I'd say every member has 3 "friends" in the group.
Kurt - Mercedes, Rachel, Finn. Artie - Puck, Finn, girlfriend.
etc.
(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)Never try to predict what Sue will do next. You will be wrong.
Trump delenda estI get the feeling Holly's speech was a Stealth Take That Us /Spoof Aesop. Also, I agree on the whole Tastes Like Diabetes thing. Sometimes they strike me as genuinely sincere, but other times they just feel fake. I mean, I like Glee, and I feel like I'm insulting myself, Glee, and my fellow fans if I think it's 100% perfect. Also on a semirelated note, I'm going to cut the next fanfiction author who has the glee club singing "For Good".

my essay blog! Dalton LiveblogThen you'll have to cut Brad Falchuk, because Kurt and Rachel are singing it next week.
So many spoilers in this thread...
I'm reading that ATLA crossover fic. It's one of the most amazing things I've ever read-I feel like the author is actually PLANNING THINGS OUT! :O And that three day time limit thing is ingenious-I need to steal it for my own nefarious purposes.
Because Will is leaving to go to New York.
Who ever said anything about hating the person? I just wanted to know where my torches and pitchforks are! What is wrong with making some farm work in the dark?
I suffered bullying when I was younger... so Kurtofsky hits in me a pretty dark and bad place.
